"Tender spot-on authentic down home southern barbecue. I know because I live in NC! Great place tucked inside an old abandoned warehouse which lends well to its rustic appeal. The spicy collards were out of this world mouthwateringly delicious and the real deal. I know because I’ve tasted authentic southern collards. Delicious cornbread with a tad of sweet but that’s a very good thing because in the south the cornbread is not sweet but that’s ok too! And lastly the fella that waited on us (forgot his name) was par excellence explaining the menu to us before we ordered. Fyi......he was the fella working at the bar on Wednesday 4/11 around 1130 ish. Very pleasant experience and awesome beer se...

Enjoyed a delicious beef brisket sandwich. Just the right amount of sauce and the coleslaw and beans on the side delicious. I'ld recommend this place to anyone looking for true southern bbq. Reminds me of the brisket I got in the south.

We hosted a baby shower at Sweet Lucy’s this weekend, and it was perfect! The room was beautiful, the food was absolutely delicious, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. Everyone was excited to be able to take home the leftovers. I definitely recommend Sweet Lucy’s catering and can’t wait to eat there again!

We’ve lived in the neighborhood for 5 years and I can’t believe it took us this long to try Sweet Lucy’s. The food is AMAZING! The pulled pork has so much flavor and the sauce is perfect, so vinegary. The sides are always delicious and fresh, and the desserts are incredible and definitely large enough to be shared! Next time I have to try one of their signature cocktails. Plus, the staff is so friendly and goes out of their way to start a conversation. This will be a regular place now for us for sure!

"We were there celebrating two birthdays. Our server Faith was wonderful. She was attentive without being intrusive and knowledgeable about the menu. We were a table of 6 and ordered quite a bit of food, some of which was great and others lackluster. The bao buns were great and the small calamari salad was huge and those who had it said delicious. The spareribs were good as well as the edamame dumplings, although the way those were served made it hard to fully enjoy. Each dumpling should be on a individual type spoon so you can enjoy the soup part as well as the dumpling. The way they were served in one large bowl with only one spoon made it so the soup part is left at the bottom. I did request extra spoons from the expediter but they never came. The worst part of our appetizer course was somehow an item was switched to another in the computer and served to us. It had shellfish in it and that wasn’t known when someone at our table who doesn’t eat shellfish ate it. The sashimi was good but the tuna tartare thing was really bad. The entrees we had were the duck, which I was told was delicious, the miso cod, which was fishy, the whole fish which was tasteless, the lobster fried rice, which was okay but lacking flavor. The best dish was the black pepper beef, it was delicious and elegantly served. We had all the sides and all were quite good especially the eggplant and the wasabi mashed potatoes. It was a nice evening but it felt a little stale for a Starr restaurant."
