"The food/wine selection and quality were good. Service, however, was not good at all. We had to wait over 15 minutes to be seated when we had reservations, our drinks (beer/wine) ran out more than once, and it was VERY slow. I appreciate a long, nice dinner as long as the server is attentive and it is leisurely by our choice, not lengthy because we are ignored. We may try them again at some point but they will not be our first choice next time. And I hate it because the view was spectacular! And a heads up to anyone that wants to give it a shot, bread is available but you have to request it. Your server will not tell you that or offer it."

"Have loved this place for years always a “must stop” when we are in town. This was our first visit since the new owners and it was a disappointment. Food took too long (45 min), the delicious broccoli cheddar soup was water thin and had to be exchanged, the chicken bruschetta flatbread has been replaced with very dry chicken bruschetta sandwiches, and the “marinated” steak sandwich was flavorless. We want the old Chanticleer back! We may not visit this one again."

"Beer was cold, food was good. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. We ordered Fried Green tomato appetizer and it was delicious. We had the fish basket, oyster basket and shrimp basket- all very very good! I especially enjoyed the coleslaw and corn fritters! Actually first restaurant we’ve eaten at all week that I felt like the food was worth the cost! Would definitely go again."

"Almost don't want to spread the word about this one, would be nice to keep it one of the best local, almost hidden, restaurants along 30A. Already way to tough to get reservations, and for good reason.After many visits the small, intimate, atmosphere and great food and service have never changed. This time of year the patios are the best choice as they are set back from the road and overview one of the coastal dunes lakes through the forest.Good quality, presentation and taste revive you of a much higher priced place with lots of diamonds on a plaque."

"It was a great atmosphere! we are local and have never been here. decided to try something from our normal choice. I'm glad we did that, the smells were amazing on foot. I didn't get a picture of the appetizers, but they were on the spot. I had the chicken wings and my wife had the wrong soup. For the main dish lunch my wife had the Bento box (I think it is spelled correctly) and I had the spicy tuna pot bowl. Great taste, my only complaint was my rice in the spicy tuna Poke bowl was a little over boiled, but really good! We'll see this place again. Can even add it to the regular by-week list."
