"Offers a breathtaking view of the mountains at lunchtime. Only a Fyi, as it is a way on the mountain that the selection of food is limited, which is to be expected. You have a few taps when you're looking for a beer after you left the gondola. The only handle that is also understandable is pricing. I'm sure it's not cheap to have a restaurant that's far up a mountain, but the food was surprisingly good, although prices could be hard to swallow. I'd say bake the view in the price. For the cost of gondola and the food itself will probably no longer do, but glad that we made it at least once there. The experience was great when we sat on a warm, sunny afternoon."

Amazing view all for a reasonable price. I would highly suggest eating lunch up here midway through a ski day, great atmosphere and good food.

The hot chocolate was quite nice. I don't do watered-down stuff. It was the boxed kind, but they made an effort to jazz it up. The clam chowder was excellent. You get 1 hour to eat since it's a small dining area, but it went by nice and slow. Come here to watch the skiing if you're aren't inclined to partake in the sport yourself (like me).

The cliff house is one of a kind place that one does not come across often in one's lifetime. How should I describe it? You sit in a warm cocoon of a place and enjoying good food while soaking in the panoramic views of Vermont from its highest peak!!! The food is great! We had the clam chowder, the cliff house burger, bbq pork sandwich and a chicken wrap. Everything was beautiful! Also, if the ambiance and food doesn't warm you up, sit back and enjoy the house special hot toddy and the spiced cider!

"Dining at Edson Hill is clearly meant to be an experience. They certainly charge you for it. At those prices, execution and flavor need to be spot on, and they just ... weren't. Pumpkin soup was so bland and thick, it was like eating flavorless applesauce. Scallops were very good, and cooked nicely, but thrown on top of a pile of spaghetti squash that, again, lacked any flavor. It was clearly squash season, but not a hint of spice or nutmeg. The duck was the highlight of the meal, and the only dish that was executed correctly. Our steak frites was so disappointing. The cut should have been saved for well done, it was not a quality piece of filet, which is the wrong steak for a frites anyways. The fries were perfect and plentiful, but when the fries outshine the steak on a frites plate, that's a problem. For $52 I expect a nice cut. Everything lacked salt and pepper. Dessert was fine, but the cheesecake didn't taste of pumpkin at all, and really didn't taste of cheesecake either, more of a slightly sour mousse cake. All in all, this was a lesson. Take your money to Montreal or the Eastern Townships. They do fine dining better, cheaper, and more casually so you don't have to play along with the stilted service only to be disappointed by the food. Edson Hill is meant for an over 50 crowd who is still more impressed by an obsequious maitre d'hotel than by properly seasoned food."
