"Trixie's came highly recommended as a place to eat when traveling up to Door County. It is a bit of a drive if you are staying closer to the Sturgeon Bay area, but visiting Ephraim is definitely worth it. The town itself is probably one of the prettiest in Door County and Trixie's is right in the heart of it! As other reviewers named, there are no reservations accepted so they take names on a first come-first served basis. I had my husband put our name in on a Sunday night around 5:30 and we were seated around 6. The wait flew by! We let the host/owner know that we were willing to sit inside, outside or at the bar (so if you want to expedite your wait time, do this! . The inside is small but comfortable (you are not on top of your neighbors and service is attentive. It is a very chic little spot! They have many unique wines but they do not sell/serve hard alcohol. This is a rule by the town, not Trixie's. The food that we got was good but not my favorite meal in Door County, which is why I gave it four stars. We had the mussels, a tomato salad and another salad, but I can't quite remember what was all in it. I think that next time I would go for the pasta. I heard that is delicious! But the menu changes often so you never know exactly what you are going to get!"

"We had a wonderful experience at Chop . We chose the early seating menu and had a 5:00 reservation outside. Due to the weather we called at 3:00 to ask if we could change to inside seating and we were changed to inside with no problem. Our server was excellent I apologize for not remembering his name} he saw to our every need. The service was quick and the food was delicious. We will definitely go back when we are in Sister Bay."

"Al johnsons restaurant is a unique experience. Goats on the roof (unfortunately it was a hot day and we missed seeing them) and swiss art. It 's a bit crowded for seating. It took us a minute to get settled and in that time a bald waiter stood thereimpatiently and said **** while waiting. I had to sit in a space that i had servers swinging plates over my head a fewtimes. The food over all was a different experience. It wasn 't my favorite or anything I 'd rave about but It was a fillingmeal.For the price however, I would either expect better food, more food,or lower cost. The wait staff were dressed in Swissattire. Our waitress was great she was Attentive and understanding. Just after i finished eating I was still feeling car sickand thought the food wasn 't sitting well with it. I tried to make my way to the bathroom and there was a waitress standing thereat the entrance telling me that i had to go across the lawn in the middle (see pic) and around the building to a different setof bathrooms. I felt this was so rude and inconsiderate. So with a green face i tried to navigate my way through crowds. Ithought for sure my lunch was going to end up on someone. So between the placement of our seating, rude staff and being sent toanother building to puke. I would not go back. Sure having goats on the roof is cool. But they didn 't even have that going forthem today."

"Went there last Sunday and the atmosphere was really nice. We showed up a bit early for our reservation but the hostess was able to help seat us right away. Our waitress was really nice. The food was so good! We got steaks. I got a filet mignon and it was beyond good! Easy to cut and seriously melt like butter in your mouth, speaking of which even their bread is good. Also love the scallops and potstickers. We had a very lovely night! Thank you Chop!"
