"Apart from the fact that the udon noodles were “just” tagliatelle and def. no udon, and that you had to use the flashlight on your smartphone to read the menu because it was just too dark in the very stylish restaurant (we found it funny in a way . The food (ramen and super tender pork cheeks on polenta was very tasty and the service was super friendly and attentive. The next day we spontaneously went to the Yucatan at 9:30 p.m. because we were still hungry after an event. We were offered a seat without any problems and in a friendly manner and we were also given something to eat (chilli cheese fries are awesome! Top"

The Casa salad was swamped in sauce and the CHF 28 pappardelle where they mix molten Swiss cheese with vegetables questionable in terms of culinary choice. Add 1.5 hour waiting time for the food. Overpriced, not good and poor service

It was nice to find this relaxed bar restaurant to have dinner with our kids. We were attracted to see some different dishes on the menu such as ceviche, quesadillas ramen, which of course we tried along with some other choices. Everything was good tasty. We had a nice service from several staff that were working during our visit. All good for us.

I used to love the Yuci . However, it was there now and had the red tofu curry. The rice and the curry were completely over salted. There were also shrimp chips with a vegetarian dish. Really now? There was also a lot of staff just standing around, but we still waited 15 minutes until we could pay. Since the concept change during Corona, the quality has really not been there anymore a shame!

"This place has good reviews so I decided to give it a try for a family dinner, thinking it might be reasonable. Irish pub playing American country music that should have been a sign to turn around and find something else. Took a look at the menu and saw the typical Swiss high prices, again, should have walked out. Only thing I saw on the menu I would consider Irish pub fare was the fish n chips. My wife had that, and said it was just OK. Rest of us had chicken wings and fries. Mediocre would have been a compliment for them. I get it, it 's Switzerland, things are expensive, but I don 't mind when I get good quality. We had dinner the night before at another (local Swiss) restaurant and it was great. (Restaurant Ende der Welt) Should have went back. I also learned that you get charged for tap water at the Core. Supposedly this is normal? I was not charged at he other local place. I guess they appreciated me spending over $100 chf and didn 't mind pouring some water from the tap and washing a few glasses for my business. Tried to have the charge removed but manager was condescending and said 'it 's only 8 chf ' well right back at you it 's only 8 chf you should have removed it and had a happier customer willing to give a good review. Plenty of much better places in Engelberg."

"After a lovely hike, we enjoyed a well-deserved coup on the large and very well-kept terrace of the Wasserfall restaurant. The selection is large and very modest and the coups were completely convincing, both in terms of taste and appearance. Unfortunately I have to deduct one star for the unsatisfactory service. The waiter tried hard but was obviously still very inexperienced, but since we work in the catering industry ourselves, we also know how extremely difficult the personnel situation is at the moment and everyone is grateful for every helping hand, so I don't want to be too harsh on the judge. With a little more practice, the ice cream cards will almost certainly not be left on the table after ordering and you won't have to mention three times that you would like to pay (and then ultimately have to go into the dining room to settle the bill). The waiting time of 45 minutes for 2 coups (mind you when the terrace was only half full) was also a bit long. But we will definitely stop at the Wasserfall restaurant again the next time we are in Engelberg, because the ambience and quality are simply great."

"If you want to find a nice restaurant in a Swiss mountain village, it is recommended to continue through the village until you actually leave it again. Then you often find a real Swiss restaurant there, usually with great views and typical Swiss food. Had pumpkin soup here with Schwytzer platte (collection of cheese and sliced meat with bread). Just really nice in a quiet and beautiful environment. Worth recommendation."
