"Dinner reservation was 3pm. Seated promptly and treated courteously by every member of the staff that we encountered. The meal, however, was a great disappointment. We ordered the family style chicken dinner because this is what Zehnder’s is known for. I guess we were expecting too much. The white meat chicken was over cooked and very very dry. No excuse for that mid day in a busy restaurant. Reading reviews after our meal shows that this is a common complaint. So I must conclude that the management just doesn’t care. My family has been coming to Frankenmuth and has ate at Zenders several times. We enjoy the food and atmosphere. Food is always good, service is good, and it’s in the heart of Frankenmuth. This is really a special place and cool town overall

I have eaten at the Z Cafe a few times and it has been very good. Today I ordered a large Chicken Caesar Salad, so I could have some for the next day. I could not even eat it. It was so loaded with dressing it tasted sour and was very soggy. I was very disappointed with it.

we were on a bus trip to mackinac island and stopped here for lunch. when entering we sat and gave all that they eat menu at $28.95 I asked if they were a lunch menu and I got one. several decisions from which they were chosen. I had the three-piece chicken that consisted of 1.5 chicken breast that was cut into. the chicken was very dry and it was very hard. the kartoffels immediately tasted. the cold shining was terrible. I loved the bread of cake and bury it. I wasn't impressed. great interior.
