in the early october evening we went around 18 o'clock and sat immediately, even on hockey on a table for six, on which another couple sat at the other end. service was fast and the eating was plentiful and hearty. beer on tap...were augustiner brew. I had the bratbeef with gravure and my wife a gay; both came with a kind of sweet sour wort and dumplings (bread/potato balls).

traditional German food. we tried a traditional German sausage and a pulpit as an appetizer. the sausage was quite bland, but the pulpit was beautiful. the 2 main courses were seasonal and very tasty. the parts were very large. the restaurant is a very large. room with bad acoustic, probably because it is completely made of wood. but there is a great kamin, which is very cozy.

we wanted to eat a traditional German food, and our wonderful guide recommended zollpackhof. it was a Thursday night and very crowded with locals on almost every table we were glad that we had a reservation! eating was plentiful and tasty. especially we enjoyed the grilled pork. in an Augustinian dark beer sauce, the cheese, the very delicate callbsal wiener schnitzel and German apfelsittern with the augustiner edelstoff. the waiters were very friendly and the atmosphere really nice, in a beautiful old building with wood trim right at the river.
