"We returned to this restaurant after almost eight years (it was during my pre-Google days). Today, I thought it was just as good as it was before. It's a very typical Franconian family-owned and -operated inn with a restaurant. We sat outside in a shady area on the street side on a cool yet very sunny day. It is a busy street with frequent vehicle traffic, so it sometimes got noisy especially with a fire truck, but it was pretty nice otherwise. Service was excellent. Our server spoke perfect English (I really shouldn't be surprised about this, but you cannot take it for granted in this area) and very pleasant, and she frequented our table to make certain we were enjoying our meal. Service a disgrace. Two waiters walked straight past us waiting at the door and then when someone looked at us, we asked for a table for two and he shook his head and stormed off. Good luck.

we have been in the ochs for years. every year we drive to Rothenburg at least once and have seen and tried a lot. if the operation may also look merciful at the first time, it is only at the table that this impression disappears. the food is fantastic and still really cooked! good drink selection and great from the price. the ambiente is old-fashioned, yes, but that's what makes the charm too!

in the old town we find this guest house and look forward to the Franconian hospitality, but we are very happy and very targeted. we fall in with 11 people and for us a table is pushed together, which is just enough. here the service is traditional Franconian and awaits a little from the guest. the drinks are very good everywhere and with the virtuous crystal-white the gast also finds good drinks for more known. the dishes are very well portioned and taste very good, the price is also very good. the espresso is a dense. we like to come back.
