"Had lunch on a hot day in the beer garden. Prices as you'd expect for a lakeside venue, a short and traditionally Bavarian menu and the portion sizes were generous. The food was fine, came quickly even though it was busy. However, there were zero...obvious Covid measures taken. I didn't see any staff member wearing a mask despite the current regulations, no hand sanitizer at the entrance, no guest contact details taken or app check-in offered, and laminated menus passed around directly between customers on different tables without any cleaning. When we sat down, they just took the previous customer's empty glasses away and didn't even wipe the table. Only cash accepted, no cards. Hopefully...

When the weather is good, this beergarden is the perfect location for a drink. The restaurant inside is rustic but welcoming. The service is friendly and prompt. Food however is average if not mediocre. Overall, slightly too expensive.

My wife and I wanted to try a traditional German menu and the Haden with sauerkraut and was very disappointed. The grill Haxen was dry snd hard and I couldn’t even bite through the skin or cut the meat from the bone. Once I notified...the waitress and told her that I couldn’t eat it because it was too hard, she committed”You have to eat the meat and not the bone!” And insisted that it was supposed to be like that. That was not my first Haxen and you should be able to pull the meat away from the bone with just a fork. I assumed it was leftover from the day before.

"The inn was one of our goals after we drove Schönau with the support of the RK app in search of further rewarding goals for our week. Following an inspiration, we reserved a table by phone in the afternoon, which proved to be useful as all tables were occupied when we arrived. Cosyly furnished, but atmospheric rather reminiscent of a hall, since the entire hall was hardly divided by partitions or decoration. A very nice, friendly service power, which was constantly on the axle, since it had to operate all tables alone (supported by the boss, but nevertheless: great performance! . So it is also to forgive that I had to explicitly ask for the pumpkin soup, which was praised outside on a table and was not pointed out. It might also be that the menu on the inside, from which there was something left out. On the other hand, I would have been very annoyed if the selection of the place was based on the choice of “ chicken breast, grilled with fresh mushrooms, christian sauce and roasted ink”, and then I got inside, outside in the box, this is the “summer card” and some dishes are no longer available. Well, I had decided otherwise: First the pumpkin soup (3,20 € ), then the “peffer pandl, pork medallions with pepper sauce and cheese congratulates broccoli and croquets” for 15,80 €. “ Pute “Bombay” with pineapple, curry sauce and cheese baked, with rice and salad” (12.80 € was my wife’s choice. The pumpkin soup was ok, maybe even a little too much in quantity, and from the consistency I would have liked it a little firmer, because it was very “liquid”. My pepper puff around a pleasure, lots of sauce as you can see, but just right and nothing left. The Pute Bombay with rice as on the photo in Sauce almost drinking and barely visible, but better soooo, than just a Kleks sauce, which finally leaves the remaining rice dry on the plate. Taste one of the best food this week! Conclusion: also here a recommendation to try out! Only, as already had, Gasthof Bodner also closes at the beginning of November for about 6 weeks."

"After four days with arrival in restaurants or Restaurants with a focus on Bavarian cuisine, we decided to visit the Pizzeria Jolly for dinner today. Jolly can be seen from our accommodation. So also jerk, to reach back foot. Unfortunately, for car drivers only equipped with a few parking spaces in front of the house. In the morning, when we waited at the bus stop 30 metres away on our bus, which was supposed to drive us to Ramsau to the back of the lake, Schwager and I have already had a look at the menu hanging in the showcase. However, it has been found that this is probably hanging in the box for several years and is now yellowed, so to speak a pattern without value. At 6 p.m. we walked the way there with stretched screens. A voice alarm and a whirlwind, as the esteemed colleague Schwalmwellis formulated in his recite, struck us through the open entrance door. In spite of rain, a couple of brazens sat in front of the house under parasols and were already busy eating and drinking. We've been in a bad mood because we didn't have a reservation. We decided to enter the interior. Everything looked amazing here. A waiter came to us, kindly greeted us to let us know that there is no space left. My argus eyes discovered a 4th table on which a sign stood: Reserved from 8 p.m. I told the waiter: “Okay, when they are finished by 8:00, they can take place there,” the answer. “If you serve us quickly, this is not a problem,” says my conter. So he led us to the table. The table was already covered. So only the menus had to be taken and our drinks and food requests were accepted. Okay, it was now full of breaks, constantly guests came to pick up the pizzas ordered, and more and more guests who were kindly informed by the staff because of lack of space that they can no longer record. Until our menus were handed it took a few minutes. Again, several minutes passed, and we could order our drinks. The gentlemen don't have a light or dark, but a yeast wheat (0.5 l glass, 3.90 €, tapped, brewery not specified, I tap from the taste on Erdinger . The ladies red wine, Merlot (0.2 l glass, 4.30 €, the origin not specified, but tastefully for our better halves ok . Until the drinks came, some time passed again. I had a direct look at the counter: two pizza bakers who are world champions according to the poster at Theke Pizza, covered pizzas in the chord. A large pizza oven could take up a lot of it. The pizzas are available in two versions: 33 cm in diameter, 45 cm in diameter and for the pickers even larger family pizzas, which can also be ordered in the pizzeria. A lot of different pizzas of all the Couleur were available, felt 50 to 60, or even more, I didn't count them. Three vegan pizzas are also available. Some pasta dishes, some salads. Nothing meaty, nothing fishy. Pizzeria is therefore also the correct name of the place. We also needed some time for each of us to be found under the great selection. After each decision I waved a waiter who took up our order in his block. Only pizza eater at our table my brother-in-law. Pizza belongs to his favorite food recordings. He ordered the pizza Piccantissima in version 33 cm (8,40 €). Here Piccantissima probably means that it is very sharp when reading the ingredients. The crunchy dough was covered with tomatoes, mozzarella, pepperoni sausage, spicy pepperoni and pepperoncini. And indeed. The sharpness increased from bites to bites. In the dough it was impossible to taste whether it was properly seasoned or not. In any case, he was able to cut well so that my brother-in-law could cut the pieces too well, as they are already cut in the area and are therefore nice to eat from the hand. He also had to fight with the size. Saturation high, tastefully, he already ate better, so okay. Pizza Piccantissima Sweetheart and I chose pasta. Spaghetti with tomatoes, rocket, parmesan pears for 9, €. The noodles are perfect in the bite. Tomato sauce as well as roasted tomato pieces on the plate floor, tidy rocket on the spaghetti, the parmesan spaghetti on top. A beguiling scent rose into the nose. A spoon was added. It was then used at the end to take the tasty and aromatically fully convincing remaining sauce with tomatoes. We agreed that we had made a good choice. spaghetti rocola tomatoes Parmesan Her sister's commentary, which Pasta à la casa (€8.40) ordered and was also fully satisfied. Her plate was also emptied. On the menu on the Internet, this dish was not on it, so I could no longer understand what was in detail on her plate. The portions weren't too big, but were enough for saturation. Pizza okay, Pasta good, so 3.5 GG stars. Ambience impossible to describe. The guest room is slightly dark in diffuse light. The tables are tight. Superficial consideration shows good cleanliness. So that I have nothing to do in the direction. Conclusion: A lot of pizzerias left the pizzeria during our stay, with a house full of guests, no rest day, so to speak a gold mine. Many apartment guests, especially with children, on holiday in Schönau provide a nice additional business. This is also the only pizzeria in Schönau. By the way, an offshoot is located in Bad Reichenhall. Who does not mind the whistle and the volume in the restaurant, he can go home rich and content. Longer than you need to eat, you shouldn't stop there. There is a constant coming and going. Cosiness must not be expected here."
