"The Old Post is a bit from the Rummel. Restaurant and hotel in one, but we only ate. Circa 15 cozy walk from the port of Lindau you have to go there. Many tables are decorated in front of the corner house with sturdy chairs. Inside it is also sturdy and traditionally decorated. You're sitting in a quiet area with a car traffic, but it doesn't matter to you. The advantage for car drivers is, of course, that the parking spaces are opposite. We reserved 6:00, there's something going on. Reservation is highly recommended! For us (12 people), the prepared table is still spontaneously extended by a small table so that we do not sit too tight. Then we will be supplied with cards, food and drinks separated. Above is the sausage salad, there are cakes, ice cream, soups, salads, noodles, meat, mules and sausage. So really a great deal, for every tour. The dishes are available in sizes normal and slightly smaller. If you say nix, there is the normal part. This portion size is also sufficient for normal hunger. I was a little experimental tonight and ordered the Wiener Schnitzel with pommes and salad. As a drink a regional beer: Lindauer Hell; delicious. Half for 4 euros. The operation took everything fleeting and well-launated, very neat on a big note with a line list. First the salads came, from size okay. After a waiting period, the main courts came. Only one had to be asked (baked turkey carving). I guess the kitchen was a little slower or the service missed it while picking up. Two medium-sized Wiener Schnitzel with good charge Pommes. Majo and ketchup are available on additional plates in small portion bags. Okay, cost 14.60 euros, normal in Lindau. For the ladies there was Ladysteak, 150 g turkey breast for 14.50 euros. For others a grill plate, steaks of beef, pig, turkey for 16.50 euros. Everyone was happy, nobody complained about food. There was room for Dessert. Vanilla ice cream with rumpot fruit and cream. But still find something to try. The ice part comes in a heart-shaped shell, the rum fruits extra. To gradually spoons. Rum was not saved, strong mix for 7.60 euros. Taste. We didn't regret the visit, we were looking good. The prices are of course higher because of a small piece."

"With my brother-in-law, I drove by bicycle many years ago. At that time, of course, “only” for a strengthening beer or something... Heuer “discovered” my wife of this house and presented her wish to return to the Lake Constance on the last day. Good-bourgeois on the first day and now good-bourgeois on the last day. So the circle was closed, I thought and agreed. In Laimnau we were also in the last two years. At that time in the Pizzeria Zer09 with absolutely bounded pizzas and very decent pasta. Unfortunately, there is no more the house to my greatest regret. It seems the pandemic, whatever, has not survived. Whether the successor, whom we saw and who is also an Italian, continues in this class, will probably only be found next year. At any rate, this year was the first to become the 100m-long “farmer”. The chatty, weeping free-seat was still very welcoming but for our regret there was no free table at our arrival. We were very kindly greeted and we were left the choice under the free tables in the generous interior. Yeah, it was quite cozy inside too. Urig rustikal had liked it well. The cards were taken to the table by our service maid ( Bon: Eva) and we were asked if we already knew or prefer to.... We knew. A specific (0.25 to 2.80 , a mineral water (0.25 to 2.30 and a wheat beer (0.5 to 3.90 were ordered and soon delivered well cooled to the table. The cards were in the form of a clamping bar with inserted sheets. Look at something more original. There was much talk in Swabian. Translating to Hochdeutsche for the so-called Touri. In addition to the classic Kässpätzle (when the Lake Constance is truly omnipresent, I would not be surprised if it did not even have the mosquitoes in Lindau in the program, Schnitzel and Rostbraten. But even a few more fancy dishes, which are not found on the cards so often nowadays. Siedfleisch is rarely seen on the maps of the inns. Sour beans with g’smälzte Spätzle or Katzagschroi (fried potatoes with paprika, onion, beef, eggs I have not seen since childhood, but in particular the beans have not been missing; My dear was it after “Landwirts Schlemmertöpfle” (17,90 pork medallions on beetles with cream sauce While I warmed up for the classic SchniPoSa (9,10 3,50 6,80). Yeah, that's a little bit after the modular system. However, as the prices are within the framework, I see this quite more relaxed than elsewhere. After the order, there was a table outside and we asked Eva to move the place outside, which was absolutely no problem. It just went outside. There was a trace of nicer sitting. Perhaps not necessarily more comfortable, as it were wood-planned gardening sets, but it was well maintained and nice. After a pleasant time our dishes were applied. First, the salad as a small walkway. And he was just the way you wished him in such a house. Various salads with separate dressings. Even the “Bodebirresalat” (Kartoffelsalat could like it here. Also the leaf salad covered with fine spicy vinaigrette. Krautsalat here with a significant proportion of cumin (I thought about manowars but in a total interplay that knew to please and did not stress the cumin over a fee. A great salad plate as you like to see him. The Schlemmertöpfle came, in the name, in a cashier roll, with its hood of roasted onions looked very enticing and did not smell less inviting. The medallions were pleasantly tender and really good. The beetles provided with great spicy cheese and the cream sauce was wonderful. Whether the cream sauce has now been made itself or up to a certain degree has also been included steps from outside read not taste out. And then it fits. Everything in itself is harmonious and beautifully spiced. The Caesareans were not good, but that did not deteriorate the positive overall picture, because my wife does not make a war of faith; However, it would have been better if the sheer amount of cream sauce had been separated. Not that she wouldn't like it, but Kässpätzle likes to try something so bit free. Finally, it was in the map. The two carvings were added to the overall picture. Here too a very good choice. They were well spiced, wonderfully tender and surrounded by a beautiful and matching panade. There was eaten until it was no longer fun or. the plate was empty (with the fun usually stops by itself. The pommes were pleasantly thick and could therefore keep the good heat in their soft core surrounded by a crispy crust for quite a long time. Important to me, since Pommes are somehow no longer edible for me from falling below a certain temperature. So I never enjoy them, and then let them stand, but they were emptied quite far. One word to the sanitary area. This is just as everything in the house. He's wheelchair-friendly, but he's not. The ladies decorated the walls with painted panoramic pictures. My wife told me about this and I was curious about what the gentlemen had to admire. Well, what am I supposed to say, there was probably a publishing “artist”. Present. This was a good return and will certainly be repeated at one of the next lake visits."

"Last night of our holiday on Lake Constance. Again the question came, what and where should we go to eat. The shorts don't really want to go. W LAN, mobile phone and tablet make us completely unnecessary. Jo, food intake, that could be taken into account. But somehow you have no bump to open and a corresponding ... “Yes clear, then we will eat and then we’ll get you something out of the mosquito” “That would be cool” What was actually flaky and not really serious was quickly an essential option. “You don’t mean that seriously, do you?” That would be great” Teenies can be so easy. Or sooo difficult. Shortly seen in the eyes, Jepp, that would actually be an option. Is the evening a real victory situation? The no longer short shorts are happy with the laptop, tablet and WLAN and the old ones have a pleasant evening. “Okay, we’ll eat and get you something out of mosquito.” Rarely heard such a happy choir. Well, education does not take place on holiday, but at home the year is over. And vacation should be beautiful. Not that we had left this out since, but the view of a relaxed evening was good and also for happy children afterwards. “Hau rein” the hobby-gourmand would now say with a hill to manageable risks in the kitchen direction. And so the hobbyman went on his way with his wife. After Lindau in Enzisweiler there is a pizzeria on GG. It should be. Only there was nothing so far and wide to see. Of course, vineyards. And the app was innocent this time. Depending on the search there are some locals. Errors in the representation or position here at GG. Maybe we should have studied the address. But finally we had to pass the mosquito and so we drove straight to Lindau Island. The family car on the city wall ran into the city without a corresponding destination. There's no problem finding something. Instead of making the choice, it proves to be more demanding. In a German Italian Greek triangle, we have briefly changed and chose Hellas or the Acropolis as a representation of Greek cuisine. We entered the restaurant, were discovered shortly afterwards and welcomed also friendly. Our care table for two people led to a small guided tour through the angled and beautifully decorated guest area. The place was good for photos, but the light was rather not, so I ask you to forgive the slightly fuzzy recordings. Rather unfavorable was the location near the toilet door. Not that too much traffic prevailed, the house was about half filled at the time, but a somewhat unpleasant cleaner smell faded back and forth when the door was opened. On a wall, an oversized flat screen, on which a slideshow of Greek landscapes ran, was suspended. There was an ouzo in the neighboring table. Well, that's something for us now. In the hope of getting this on the house, we ordered a wheat beer 0.5l to 3.40 and a large specific 0.4l also up to 3.40. But the drinks were still missing. Yeah, maybe there's this for dinner. The cards were large, cartoned and unfortunately very remote representatives of their kind. This is an update. The contents were distributed over the typical appetizers and dishes that can also be found in Germany. From this we ordered the service woman who appeared more or less regularly in our area as an appetizer: Zaziki 3,90 and Pita 2,50 grilled Pepperoni 4,90 As main dish, Grandmateller 11,80 Gyros, grilled paprika with fresh cheese filling, foil potatoes, Zaziki and side salad. Gyros 14,60 with foil potatoes and side salad. After a pleasant time the appetizers came first, but not an ouzo? The grilled peperoni were of medium sharpness, neat and tasted good. Pita, on the other hand, was rather a global product that could not leave a lasting impression. The Zaziki. This, although beautifully exhausted, was largely without a wort. Now it would be an ouzo. On the other hand, the additional salad had been delivered surprisingly spicy with a beautiful vinegar oil dressing. Leaf salads were accompanied by tomatoes, cucumber slices and onions. The gyroscope on the grandma plate was simply so ok out of the wort, but unfortunately sometimes somewhat very thick cut. Due to the thickness, there were also more than enough soft lots in addition to beautifully crowned areas. No revelation. However, the film potatoes seemed completely in order, even for credentials, packed in foil. Similar to the baked gyro. The Metaxas sauce brought a little more pepp, but overall I ate it much better. We ordered the bill, now he'll have to be there. When this came back without HIM, we simply asked if there was no Ouzo. “Ah, would they like an ouzo on the house?” “Oh yes, that would be nice” You have to do everything yourself: The ambience is very beautiful, except too close to the toilet. The walls are often provided with clinkers or indicated columns for this purpose with the damped light. It's not every taste, I liked it. I can't say much about cleanliness. The toilets were not visited, we were neighbors and the damper light didn't let much catch. What we saw was clean. Of course, the situation must also be taken into account for the PLV. The food was nothing special, but not bad. All in all, I think it's still reasonable. And the ouzo tasted. Nevertheless, after a kitchen trip: the 2 – hardly again the alternatives have to be tested. And there are more than enough of it in Lindau"

"My wife and I went first time to this restaurant after recommendation from the place where we stayed overnight, some 3 km away. The beer-garden was nearly full and there were only three tables left when we arrived at 6pm. We sat in the sun, order a glass of Kerner wine (which was excellent) and a typical bavarian Weissbier. The menu showed Spargel and my wife ordered the same with chicken and I had a "Zwiebelriostbraten" )beef fillet with roasted potatoes and fried onions). Food was very good, the beef nearly to the point - as I ordered medium, it was a little overdone - but tasty and of excellent quality. We ordered some more Kerner wine and, unfortunately, had tp wait about 10 minutes until we received the new filled glasses. Meanwhile the whole beer-garden was filled up with guests and a lot of people had to go inside the "Gasthof" to have dinner as there was no place outside anymore. We had for dessert a "Süssser Traum" which was a home-made apple strudel with vanilla ice-cream and hot chocolate sauce. Nice to see that it was served with two spoons and forks without asking for it. My wife and I enjoyed the dessert and were a little unhappy with the espresso served afterwards as it was too much coffee with little foam and had nothing to do with the italian espresso. The waitress, a lady at around mid 40s, and another younger waitress seemed to be a little stressed because of the full beer-garden and therefore, maybe, the service was not what we expected. Still, the lady serving us had her nose a little too high up."
