"Booked this restaurant as part of a trip to Montreux for my boyfriends birthday. The food was terrible, chewy steak, not cooked to our request. The service was not great, I found one particular member of staff to be quite rude. We booked our table...for 9pm and arrived early. We were then told by the waiter to hurry up and order as the kitchen wanted to close. Firstly the opening times state until 11pm and secondly why did they accept the order if it was too late? To top it off the bill was so expensive, I wouldn’t mind paying the money if the food was good but it really wasn’t worth it. I was so disappointed that I chose this restaurant for my boyfriends birthday."

"We saw this restaurant on the way to our hotel and seeing the location , thought it to be a good option. But it was the worst Indian food we ever had. Chapatis were not even rolled properly . Butter was stale . Dal fry was something you would never order in your life if you ate it here for the first time . We have had Indian food in many parts of the world as we are frequent traveler , but the food we ate here was the worst !"

"Terribly sad birthday dinner. Very poor service (long minutes to take the first order for the drinks, one by one! We asked to change tables as one with lake view was available but needed to be cleared. The response was: you must wait till I clean when I have a minute !!! Average food No sides were proposed with the Tagine, which was sad. "

"We stayed for three nights at this hotel in room 202 (second floor with view on the lake . This four star hotel needs to start refurbishing rather sooner than late. The wall to wall carpet (pinkish yellow all over the hotel needs decent cleaning or...replacement. The furniture in our room was way dated, the sunscreen was durty and torn. Our room was clean and the bathroom was ok, nothing more. Breakfast is served in a huge old ballroom which was insufficiently heated and again very pink (I understand this must have been the colour of this room a good century ago but do we need to stick to the same colour pallet? The bar was closed on sunday and monday evenings??? We paid over €600, and this feel a lot for what we got."

"The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing break from exploring the city. The Moelleux Au Chocolat was rich and indulgent, with the perfect balance of chocolate and pecans. The tea infusion à la menthe was refreshing and the perfect accompaniment to the dessert. Overall, we highly recommend this cafè for a tea break or a sweet treat while in Montreux. The service rendered by Monsieur Kevin Gascoin was very friendly and excellent, making our experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back next time we are in town. Merci Beaucoup! "

"We found this restaurant online after arriving in Montreux. It’s located in old town Montreux, a short walk uphill from our hotel. We were four hungry travelers, arriving for dinner before the restaurant opened. The chef had not yet arrived, but Daniel let us in the side door, and got us started on what turned out to be a feast, and possibly the best meal we had in Suisse Romande! The chef suggested a charcuterie board as a starter, and we went for it! Great quality meats and local cheeses. We ordered the cheese fondue, served with bread, potatoes, cornichons, and Pearl onions. The day’s special was the endives, stuffed with ham and covered in a cheese gratin. Did I mention cheese is the best in Switzerland? Yum! Next, we had the beef Bourgogne with potatoes au gratin. Yes, we stuffed our faces but made room for the best dessert ever! Meringue with berries and Gruyere double cream! And I thought dessert had to include chocolate! Not here. If you’re in Montreux, don’t miss out on this little gem. Tell Daniel his 4 new friends from the US say Bonjour!"

"$10 enters fee, but you get it back in drinks. the casino is comparable to perryville hollywood casino in havre de grace maryland with not many people who play table games or slots. beautiful restaurants and the back of the casino are the lookout and the way to the lake. do not go for the action for the experience."

"I have been here several times as it is conveniently located across the street from the train station and one of the few places open on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. The inside is naturally lighted by the large windows surrounding this restaurant. At the back there are some comfortable over-sized leather chairs to sit at. When we entered we had to wipe down our own table and chairs even though it was 2pm on a Sunday and mostly empty. While not dirty, it was not 100% wiped down. While the kitchen is closed at 2:00pm, you can still select one of their many sandwiches to eat either cold or hot. It just means you cannot order any of their pasta or pizzas from their menu. There were two people working here, but one of them was taking a break, which left the other girl running around trying to catch up. She looked tired, and while the service wasn't horrid, we still walked up to the counter to order our sandwiches, drinks, and pay. The sandwiches were very good, the bread was perfect. Following we selected one of the several favoured hot chocolates from their long list of Italian hot chocolate drinks. My friend and I each had the pistachio flavor. It was fantastic! I would come back just for the hot chocolate. They also had a large menu of teas and coffees. I have consistently found the sandwiches to be very good here, but the service, and cleanliness mediocre thus loosing a star."

"Nach Janet Jacksons kurzer und sehr mittlerer Aufführung beim berühmten Jazz Festival in Montreux (400 USD pro Sitzplatz) brauchten wir etwas Gehobenes und Beruhigendes. Also beschlossen wir, ein spätes Abendessen in der Bar und dem Grill des Montreux Palace einzunehmen, um die Welt wieder in Ordnung zu bringen. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Tadellose Tischdekoration, aufmerksamer Service und das, was wir aßen, obwohl es sparsam bis spät in die Nacht war, entsprachen dem Niveau des Hotels. Vor der Bestellung gab es warmes selbstgemachtes Brot und Gewürzbutter. Meine Frau hatte eine gut zubereitete Cheviche und ich hatte eine italienische Version eines Steak Tartare. Kein Tabasco oder Senf, sondern getrocknete Tomaten, Oliven und Kapern und natürlich das Filet Mignon von Hand gewürfelt. Perfekt! Knuspriger frischer Baby-Blattsalat dazu. Auch perfekt. Ein Glas Rosé und der Abend war gerettet."

"We had a terrible experience yesterday. The place was not kept in a good condition. Light was out. The place was dimmed and not in a good way. We ordered hotpot and had to wait for 40 minutes. Finally, the soup and the frozen meat came out. All low quality. The chicken was cooked sever (instead of freshly cooked in hot pot). The smell was terrible. I am confident that the chicken is just going bad, so they cooked it to cover the bad condition. At the end we went away and paid 100 euros for what they brought out without eating. We just wanted to leave and didn't spend a minute longer. 100 Euro was for 2 small bottles of beer 1 large bottle of water (water glasses are wet) 3 plates frozen meat and the chicken 2 plates vegetables I saw another Chinese family returned a meal and also went with dissatisfaction. I should have left when I saw that. That was our mistake. The lady said they only have 1 person in the kitchen. I think the whole place was by man (coking), woman (on orders)"

Es gibt einige orientalische Restaurants in Montreux, aber dieses ist definitiv ein gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis.Bestellen Sie die Hühnchengerichte mit einer Portion Reis. Sie fühlen sich indo chinesisch an.Außerdem fühlten wir uns nach 22:30 Uhr in Montreux nicht besonders sicher zu gehen (dies ist eine rein persönliche Sichtweise und andere stimmen vielleicht nicht überein) und schlagen daher vor, früher zu Abend zu essen."

"Die Location hoch über Montreux und dem Genfersee ist natürlich toll und die Plätze auf der Sonnenterrasse haben fast alle einen super Blick. Das Restaurant gehört zum Relais & Chateau hotel Victoria (siehe auch meine entsprechende Bewertung). Der Service ist solala, nicht alle Ober sprechen deutsch, man hat nicht einen festen Ober sondern wird unterschiedlich bedient (wenigstens bei mir). Ein Amuse Geul gibt es nicht, nur etwas Trockenbrot. Auch wenn in der Schweiz die Preise natürlich höher liegen, so kam mir sie hier doch deutlich zu hoch für das gebotene vor. Ja, es gibt große Portionen (dazu später mehr) aber die Küche lässt an Fantasie und Kreativität mangeln. Ich hatte als Vorspeise Räucherlachs zu 45 Fr. und danach als Hauptgang Züricher Geschnetzeltes zu 48 Fr. Der Lachs war lieblos so angerichtet, dass einfach ein großer Teller komplett mit den Lachsstücken bedeckt war, in der Mitte eine Lachsscheibe als Rosette noch geformt, ein Berg Sahne Meerrettich drauf, das war's. Danach war ich eigentlich schon satt. Dann kam das Züricher Geschnetzelte, sah gut aus, war auch gut zubereitet und hat geschmeckt. Siehe auch das Foto. Die Überraschung kam als ich zu Ende gegessen hatte: der Ober kam, nahm mir den Teller weg und stellte einen zweiten identischen Teller auf den Tisch. Das war einfach zu viel, ich habe aufgegeben. Die Frage ist warum man nicht normale Portionen zu realistischeren Preisen anbietet?P.S. Dass hier wirklich jedes und alles berechnet wird erkennt man auch daran das ich als Hotelgast nach der Abreise gemerkt hatte dass ich einen Auflader im Zimmer vergessen hatte und das Hotel tatsächlich das Nachschicken an meine Heimatsadresse bezahlt haben möchte. So etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt, aber es passt irgendwie zu diesem Hotel. Schade!"

"Dont miss out book this restaurant , any dish you cant go wrong . Service and food outstanding . Do you self a favor dont sit right at a window , sit bak one you will have a better view. We had both experiences and we really enjoyed not being right at the window and you could look up and see the mountains and the lake. Have fun with the menu, I like to try everything , first not I got a main entree fish it was very good . Second night I ordered the sided and salad and had fun , dont forget the cheese balls the morel cream mushrooms , all of the sides we soo fresh and good . We shared the shrimp with tomato and it was enough for two with all of the sides. Enjoy and have fun , they do bring bread and butter"

"Very nicely located mountain restaurant. You have a great view from the beer garden and the food is good too. Price-performance as usual in Switzerland. Unfortunately the waiter didn't feel like doing his job at all that afternoon. We sat for over 15 minutes waiting for someone to appear, unfortunately in vain. When we went into the restaurant and didn't meet anyone, we at least took a food and drinks menu with us, which was immediately greeted with a shout. All in all, our stop with two 0.3l shandy and two quiches cost almost 50 euros and took over 2 hours"

"Heard about this place and decided to check it out while we were in town. We each had a non- alcoholic drink and shared 1 appetizer for the 4 of us and the bill was $125 francs. What? We didn’t know there was a cover...charge. There wasn’t anything Gluten Free on the menu so I just ate the olives that came with the table. The music was good and the people watching was fun. It was a one and done experience for us."
