"today, Friday 28, 2022 I went with my mother to this place and was very excited about an Indian restaurant closer to us. a week earlier I researched Indian restaurants in temple because we were between appointments in scott white hospital and did not want us to go to our beloved chennai cafe in round rock and be too late for our 1 p.m appointment. I have read all 83 reviews carefully and only 3 had a star. big mistake! I should've been aware of these 3 reviews with a star. I ordered the goan portuguese seafood curry because I love seafood and I didn't care that it was the most expensive in the menu, $28. I was in goa and this dish isn't! it was the worst, most terrible meal I had in a long time in a restaurant. for $28 I was dried, tasteless and overcooked salmon, gumy overcooked garnel (4 garnels), 6 mushes (I get 32 ounces for $4.78) that were not mentioned in the menu, 6 pieces calamari and no cod. I asked the waitress where the cod was, the cook told her that, since they did not have cod, they no longer included in the court...go figure! to supplement it, was no rice included, $2 extra if they want it, and no naam bread or papadam that are free with their meals in any authentic Indian restaurant. had I mentioned that the salmon was dry and tasteless, garnel rubbery and tasteless, rice was cold? the chefs put the above seafood in a bowl, pour a gland sauce over it and heat in the microwave. I asked for spicy oil, there were none. I asked about salt because there was no in this dish the basmati rice was only taste cumin seeds. no cardinal or cinnamon, nelling. my mother didn't want to eat there fortunately. I would have wasted my money because she hadn't eaten one of them. we spent 3 months in india, from jaipur, rajastan and delhi to coimbatore, goa, mumbai, so we know how delicious Indian food is. this food is for anyone who doesn't know how authentic Indian food tastes. it's a shame! Do you want authentic? go to the chennai cafe, a South Indian restaurant in round rock. good prices, real Indian cooks and server, but above all most customers are Indian (I bet the owners of bombay central when they are india eating at chennai). so that they know is great and authentic tasting, all fresh, they get a lot of food (especially when they order the ankles) and the prices are appropriate. bombay central food wein cocktails give authentic Indian cuisine a bad call, especially if the owners are Indian. they should eat the food they serve to see what a embarrassing **** they sell."
