At 5:10, I stood back in front of the door. 26.03.2023: Door to! Conclusion: Don't stop. The Indian clock seems to be different."

Spice steht für Gewürz und das Motto passt. Unterschiedliche, aromatische Currys und mehrere Naan-Brote. Beim nächsten Mal frage ich, ob die Currys auch englisch (schärfer) gewürzt werden können.

Vegane Gerichte sind auf der Speisekarte markiert, die Inhaber*innen haben auf Nachfrage Vorspeisen und Brote für uns veganisiert, wir hatten endlich mal ein richtig ausführliches und gutes Essen in Kirn. Das Ambiente ist leider das einer Schwimmbadgaststätte, aber nun ja, das lässt sich gut übersehen. Im Zweifelsfall kann man das Essen auch zum Abholen bestellen.

Wir waren mit Freunden (Laktoseintolerant und vegan) im Spice Village Kirn essen. Das Essen konnte ein wenig umgestaltet werden, da alles frisch zubereitet wird. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Geschmacklich top, der Service sehr prompt und nett, das Ambiente besser wie gedacht. Wer auf indisches Esser steht und auch nicht (Pizza auch sehr lecker) ist hier sehr gut aufgehoben und wir empfehlen Spice Village Kirn uneingeschränkt und aus vollem Herzen weiter.

"Actually, nothing changed. Same owner. Same cook. Same service. Same food. The restaurant has always been on the beautiful Kirner market place. We found the restaurant at the corner house of the market square on the left. Inviting and well maintained it really didn't look. Only after several recommendations from regular guests we returned here in 2016 for the first time. We sat outside and were very satisfied. In 2018 a spontaneous visit – the restaurant Troja closed, but now reopened in the left corner house of the house line. Another visit followed, we were always very satisfied. This July we spontaneously wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather and drove to Kirn. The Bottle N Eck had opened this year and we wanted to visit it. Unfortunately closed. I was not aware that the Bottle N Eck was in the former Troja. And right outside? The building is cleanly renovated, the front is now equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows. I recognized the head of Troja: Ayfer Conrad. So an alternative for the evening was found. The outdoor terrace was already very well visited. We were warmly greeted by Mrs Conrad, found a table outside under a parasol. It was probably planned from the beginning that Ms. Conrad and her husband moved back to the former building after the renovation. Why the name of the restaurant (the change of GastroGuide has not yet been implemented) has been changed, I do not know. The friendly service worker submitted the menus and asked first wishes. 1 bottle of Gerolsteiner mineral water, 0.75 l € 5,00 My husband ordered a dry retsina, 0.2 l € 3.50 to my surprise. Greek wine... it even followed a second glass. I don't have to understand everything. I stayed close for security. Winery Klein, Merxheim, Grauburgunder trocken, 0,2 l € 4,00. The € 0.50 more brought me the tasteful added value to the retsina. Later there was a Rhabarberschorle, 0.3 l € 2.60 for me. Our dishes have also been ordered and we are supplied with cool drinks. To the appetizer Grilled Peperoni with garlic € 5,90 we didn't have to wait long. The portion was easy for both of us. When ordering, we said that the cook did not have to save on garlic. Whether the cook meant it well with us, or thought “because I give garlic” I cannot say. Anyway, we were delighted! Grilled Peperoni with abundant garlic The grilled Peperoni with good olive oil, a little decorated. And abundant garlic! Two fresh baguettes – this was perfect for us. As the main course, my husband again chose grilled shrimps with butter rice, vegetables from eggplant, zucchini, carrots and cauliflowers € 19,50. I didn't make a photo during this visit. The quality is consistently good. A photo of this dish is set by our previous visit. I have already taken it forward: the same quality, it has not changed anything except moving and changing names. There was a colourful and fresh side salad with yogurt dressing for both dishes. The service employee was always attentive, empty glasses immediately noticed, in between asking if it tastes us. I don't know how the rooms looked before the renovation. But inside everything is very attractively renovated. Inside then a small staircase, so not accessible to walking. . The wooden tables simply and cleanly covered. The term “taverne” fits! . The boss and chef warmly welcomed me from the counter. Short chat. The spouses are rightly proud of their new place of action. And the regulars make every move and change of name. And so that when you visit the wet rooms, the smartphone does not accidentally go to the diving station, there is a hip toilet paper holder with anti-slip deposit surface on top. There are things! Never seen before, photo had to be! With smartphone deposit! A nice evening ended. We were very friendly and it will be time to return to Santorini soon!"

"My best friend had an appointment in Idar Oberstein and I on that day vacation. The timely arrival after work was due to lunch for them. For me, even without working day, too. So we went on our way to Kirn at the late noon. The restaurants at Kirner Marktplatz, known to me, were in the lunch break at 14.30. There was an alternative. The Avanti has always made a good impression. Many years ago I visited it a few times with my husband, but then another owner. For a long time we didn't want to look, the Avanti had opened all the way and a free table in front of the... restaurant, pizzeria, döner snack... (what was still free for us. An experienced service (Chefin? was right for us and handed down the menu. This covers Italian, German and Turkish classics. The card is supplemented by weekly changing “day meal”. During our visit 5 salads and 4 hot dishes. My friend and I chose the salad “Calamaris” € 7.00 of the weekly ticket. To prevent it from getting too healthy, we ordered a large portion of Pommes € 3,40 to share it. As a liquid food we ordered alcohol-free wheat beer and a bottle (0.75 l mineral water. The drinks were served in advance and well cooled. We didn't have to wait long for the salads. The colourful salad surprised me with top freshness and colourful composition. Different leaf salads, cucumbers, tomato, paprika, carrot, red onion... that could have been from me! Salad with Calamaris The homemade yogurt dressing rightly emphasized our host. 5 fried squid rings were the names. As expected, a finished frozen product, good quality and juicy crispy fried. The pommes for my taste somewhat too greasy, yet crispy. Pomme’s midst between us still remained nothing from the “light food”. I didn't see the interiors. Outside we sat on comfortable and well maintained seating. Wonderful piano play contributed to feeling well. From one house to another, it came to us. A greeting and thank you to the piano players in! “Pizzeria Döner Avanti” convinced at our spontaneous lunch. More than a snack, very friendly service and a convincing (later lunch table). The expectations were exceeded and that's always nice. And that's why I'm happy to come back."

"Preliminary: My first contribution to our visit to Kyrburg dates back to 2014. In the meantime we were here regularly, also with a visit. Why: Because consistently good performance is achieved. My first visit to Kyrburg, with booked whiskytasting, about 1996, remained in no good memory. The sheet can change. Today the castle is stone-resistant and the touchings are more than popular. Guests are welcomed with the baggage player. Critical friend Carsten1972 will soon be in Kirn. I want to serve him and his constant companion! The beautiful restaurant was rated by Nolux, Saarschmecker (with us as a companion and my husband and I already. The historical castle has a great flair, old and new tastefully combined. The restaurant is divided. Right next to the entrance probably the rustic pub. On the left side the delicious fine restaurant with insider séparée. Continue straight to the kitchen! Here I would really miss the food and like to watch and learn the routine kitchen team. After this open view, the world is safe for every guest. The new, stylish winter garden splits right. Large glass front overlooking the magnificent terrace and the Nahetal. There's nothing here! Last Saturday the weather was so wonderful. At noon I have my spontaneous hopeful call to Kyrburg. The friendly employee had to discuss the well booked situation with the boss and promised a call back. He won't follow half an hour later. You are looking forward to our visit, on the terrace our table is reserved! We're happy too! In the early evening we come to the bright sunshine. A parking lot is fortunately still free in front of the restaurant. The Dudelsack player welcomes the Wiskytaster and also us with live music. We are immediately greeted in the restaurant and visited to our spacious table on the terrace. This is already well visited, an hour later a larger company will arrive. On the sunny side! We take place and feel like on holiday. The view into the valley, the great location, you also need to appreciate your home. The cards are handed over. Seasonally adjusted this. We can decide hard. Clear and tempting. Food and drink: The young service staff offers us an aperitif, creative drinks. Ultimately, we decide for classic near-wind studies without firlefance. I'm not a Skundrel fan, but I would have liked it even without supplements. My husband (driver stayed in mineral water.
