"Was hesitant to try Playa Bowls because the photos on the Door Dash website makes the servings look small for the price. Turns out those pics are deceptive. Not only was my order large and satisfying, it was delicious! To be honest, I've only had the California Poke Bowl, but the ingredients were fresh, visually appealing, and there was no skimping, i.e. there wasn't just a ton of rice with a few veggies thrown on. Am so pleased, Playa Bowls is now my favorite restaurant in State College and I look forward to trying their other bowls."

"We have been loyal customers of this restaurant for the past five years, visiting 3-4 times a year, and always had a great experience. However, on our most recent visit, we were disappointed to find that the menu had changed with the new culinary team, resulting in the loss of some of our favorite dishes. Additionally, the prices had nearly doubled since our last visit two months ago. Although the service was still excellent, we felt that the food quality did not justify the higher prices. The temperature near our table was also uncomfortably warm, and when we inquired, we were informed that they were experiencing HVAC issues. Overall, the overpriced meal, combined with the uncomfortable temperature, has made us reconsider returning to GiGis in the future."

"Went with large group of people for lunch. Being an American, I wasn’t too familiar with German foods. However, our waiter, Hudson, was extremely helpful. He explained the entire menu to us, and even explained the origin of some of the German cuisines! Also did it in a German accent! It was a great atmosphere and the food was great. Another thank you to our knowledgeable and handsome waiter, Hudson!"

"They provide the best Mexican food in state college. Only demerit they had is their slow service, but this time it became fast! Among my visits more than four times, I cannot guarantee service is overall fast, but I will see next time. One missing star is due to past experiences of slow service. Recommended menu: Aztec fajita and Margarita"

"to be fair, I just tried one slice of her vegan pfirsich cake, but it was delicious and worth the money. I was especially impressed by the feeling of the community that surrounds the space, with many possibilities for people to engage and support really great causes. "Karma is one of two Indian restaurants offering a lunch buffet in town and the prices and food offerings between the two (the other is India Pavilion) are comparable. I've been a regular at India Pavilion for years and decided to give Karma a try, and I really loved the subtle differences between them. Karma seemed to have a better selection of meat dishes, and there was a chili chicken dish that I dream about on a weekly basis now my goodness it was delicious! One of my favorite dishes is saag, and unfortunately Karma's was burnt and dry and it was quite horrifyingly bad. It was so awful that I think it was an honest mistake (who hasn't burnt food many times before) and I am excited to come back and try their non burnt saag. The general ambiance is nothing to write home about and a good bit more casual than nearby India Pavilion. However, no one goes to a lunch buffet for ambiance! We are there to eat until we feel disgusted with ourselves, and then eat some more who cares what the chairs or decorations look like when you are mentally and physically ill from what you just put your body through?"

"I’m surprised to see mixed reviews. Went today for lunch and it was busy. I’ve seen it busier but still waited behind 8 or so cars and was in and out in reasonable time. The line was always moving, staff were friendly and efficient, food was fresh (and order correct. I expected crazy wait times since it recently reopened but it wasn’t bad at all."

"Restaurant was not very busy. Service was slow waitress) waited 15-20 mins to give drink order. There were 13 tables seated and 5 waitresses. Ordered a iced coffee and was told the machine was broke. Then another 10 mins to order. Food came out faster then our waitress. Another waitress delivered our food, then we didn't see our waitress again till the end of our meal and asked how everything was. No refills on hot coffee or other drinks. Simply just asked for check.. Food was delicious as always. And hostess and cashier were very friendly."

"I don?t know what happened. 6 months ago this was my family?s go to sub shop. Excellent food and service. Now? Our orders are consistently wrong. The food is sub par. A recent cheesesteak had bread, about half the normal cheese, and enough steak to giveit some color. Not a good sandwich. I dunno. We are taking some time away from Bradley?s. Maybe we will try again in the fallwhen the students come back? Are they under new management?"

"I didn’t catch the name of the manager who assisted me, but she provided exceptional service while I had a trailer attached to my truck. Despite the dining room being closed, she was ready to take my order and even came to my car to collect payment. She took the time to explain the best deal for my large family of ten. I truly wish I remembered her name because she deserves recognition; I’ve never experienced someone going above and beyond like her in a fast-food setting. Even my children were so impressed that they asked me to leave a review for her. She is an exemplary worker!"

"I only gave 1 star cause I had to to make this comment...I went in today to buy a Pokémon happymeal for my grandson and when I returned to the vehicle and gave it to him there were no Pokémon cards in the happymeal...they tried to give my grandson a stupid plastic toy instead of what was suppose to come with the meal...I walked it in to see about the cards and they tried to fight me about the situation so I just got a refund and promised to never return...I found out by talking to some people that know the employees and I was told that the employees are taking the cards and trying to scam people by giving them plastic toys instead...only due to the cards recent popularity on ebay and the money they can get for them...what a sad and greedy world we live in...went to the McDonald's by the mall instead and they actually have the cards...as does everywhere else I stopped...what a joke, me and everyone I know will never go into the McDonald's in downtown state college ever again...horrible place and dirty...ewwwwwwww...."

"I was here a couple of days ago around 7pm trying to get my fried chicken fix. I went through the drive thru and there didn’t seem to be a long wait. However, I was inquiring about dark meat and the drive thru attendant said they do not have any and then asked me to wait as she checked. She came back and confirmed that they did not have any dark meat left for the night. Then I asked for extra crispy white meat and the attendant then asked me again to wait as she double checked. She came back and said there was not any extra crispy left but they could make dark meat extra crispy if I waited 20 minutes. I said that was fine but then I overheard on the mic that they were not going to make any more chicken for the rest of the night despite being open for another 2 hours. I think the attendant forgot to turn off the microphone. I left in frustration and was very confused because I felt crazy asking for chicken at a chicken place… Popeyes would never"

"So i stopped here after i left the gyro place, just to see what they were offering... this place is a Turkish Mom and Pop joint, incredible to say the least! I wish I could give at least 8 stars.. the Pide was much bigger than i expected and it was packed with goodness- lamb, spices, red sauce and topped with cheese. the dough was soft and gooey. It came with green mayo which added a whole other flavor profile.... now I 'm hungry, I might hit it up again tonight !!"

"Pretty good. A fella can’t get wood fired pizza anywhere else in State College and their pasta dishes are highly customizable never disappointing. "I decided to try this place on the basis of his reviews. the food was sooo fresh and delicious. they have fresh vegetables, meats, seafood and a lot of tasty sauces to couple it. my food came within 15 minutes and it was hot and tasteful. will protect again. server was very friendly and explained how it worked for me as it was my first time. highly recommended."

"It’s a great place if you’re in the mood for freshly baked cookies unlike the store bought. They’re warm and soft, ready to go but they do run out at times. My favorites are chocolate chunk, snickerdoodle, and mint chocolate! They have their seasonal red velvet which is a must! I recommend getting a 6 pack rather than the mini pack for a better deal. Every encounter is a pleasant one, they’re always kind upon greeting. Most recently, they were redecorating so there was no sign of what kind of cookies they had available and their prices. They were happy to inform me more than once what was on the menu because of my forgetfulness. I recommend coming here if you’re in need for a quick freshly baked snack."

Each time I’ve come here, the food, service, and atmosphere have been great!The food can sometimes surprise you with the fusion twist, but it’s a delicious surprise. And you can tell the food is made is love, creativity, and pride.The menu also gets updated from time to time, so you may find a new favorite!
