"Hook Reel is known for their seafood boils. You choose a seafood, choose a sauce and they mix it up with potatoes, corn and sausage and bring it out in a plastic bag. It can get a little messy so they provide you with a bib and plastic gloves. I like the fried calamari and the coconut shrimp for appetizers. Lately I've been getting a shrimp salad. Normally, we have great service. This time, it was terrible. She brought our appetizers, main course, and dessert all at the same time. Our main course and desserts were cold by the time we got to them. She never came back to check on us or even ask if we wanted refills.

My family and I were looking for a quick restaurant (but something other than fast food) to eat after leaving the airport to head home.We found this gem and decided to give it a shot. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The service was quick and awesome.And the food. It was phenomenal. The Cajun flavors tasted authentic and had the perfect blend of flavors. The prices I felt were fair for the amount and quality of food you get. The appetizers were a good sized amount.Overall, this place is one I'd definitely go back to again.

"Surprising. Exceeded my expectations by quite a bit in many ways. The building is not much to look at but the service and food was very good. We arrived between lunch and dinner hours yet they still had a steady flow of customers. We received our food graciously and quickly without feeling rushed. We also received a complimentary dessert that was NOT fortune cookies! I think my favorite thing was the edamame appetizer."

"The food tasted great! I love the variety and long list of add-on options. The server was new and we had a language barrier which caused a lag of time between our appetizers and ultimately them bringing one of our three apps after our main courses arrived, even though we didn’t order the mains until after the first two apps arrived so as to avoid this from happening. We asked for extra napkins and received 2. Soup and steamed dumplings can be messy. Another server came over afterwards and said that she’s new. All in all, we enjoyed our food, the comfy booth, service too despite the mixup and communication problems."

"great restaurant would recommend there is an attempt. we went in immediately before it began to be busy; we got our waters immediately, order quickly, and our food came within fifteen minutes order. each taste of their naan is very good and a certain order when they go. I ordered the tikka masala and it had great taste and texture. the rice he came with was also solid. the venue is much more beautiful than expected and both the hostess and our server were very friendly and helpful. not too expensive for what they get. would recommend."
