"After indulging in local Cajun cuisine for the past five days, we were in the mood for something different. The food was oily and excessively fried. The oil needs to be replaced as it tasted like it was fried in old oil. It did not meet the standards of the Jeaux Biffs that I remember. The new management seems to have ruined a once good thing. Additionally, the prices are high and while we didn't mind paying more for good food in the past, it was not worth it in this case.

The food, service, and cold beer at this restaurant are all top-notch. When placing an order for takeout, they arrive a few minutes early and offer the coldest beer in the city to enjoy while waiting for the order to be packed. I particularly enjoy the fried shrimp and fish, but for those who love hamburger steaks like me, the Jake is a must-try. There is a lot to choose from at an affordable price, so they won't be disappointed.
