"Named after Pastry Chef Pascal Dupuy, born French but trained in Norway and part of Oslo's dining scene since 1995, Pascal now consists of several Patisseries and Restaurants including the largest near The Royal Palace. Officially addressed Henrik Ibsens Gate 36, one of the few locations open on Sunday while much of Oslo rests, guests are invited to dine from 12h00 to 17h00 on a collection of Pastries, Salads, Soups, Sandwiches and Desserts. Staffed by friendly servers from take-out to the table, all English fluent with a menu to match, Coffee ranges 49-65 NOK including everything from an honest Espresso to a towering Mocha on Ice. Regarded by Relais Dessert International and Guide des Croqueurs de Chocolat, a range of Truffles lining shelves, Viennoserie is a mixed experience including a good Pan au Chocolate but soggy Almond Croissant while Flan a la Vanille consists of a good Crust surrounding soft Custard with evidence of pure Vanilla Beans throughout. More pricey for Entremet, available to go but plated with Crème Anglaise or Fruit Purees on-site, Pascal's Rhubarb Tart is artful in terms of taste as well as texture while the Feuilletine trends a bit sticky in the Caramel layer which makes cutting without a knife something of a mess. Perhaps best known for homemade Softeis, undeniably produced with top quality Cream and smooth as silk, diners may choose to add a number of toppings with Sea Salt Caramel and crumbled Macarons in a variety of flavors the most popular for good reason."

"Second time for an Afternoon tea. Big difference. See my first review below After our previous visit which was such a dissapointnent we was invited for Afternoon tea Deluxe to give a second try for a Bristol. When we arrived the table was already served with two cups, water, lemon and milk. Within 5 minutes we got a glass of Veuve Cliquot Champagne and in a few minutes later we got tea. Don 't hesitate to ask about pot with hot water as tea could be strong, it was a generous amount of tea leaves in it. After we had sandwiches pickled onion+goat cheese/cucumber+thyme cream cheese/scrambled eggs+salmon. Small bites: lobster salad on a crisp bread with caviar/crispy tart with caviar and cream cheese/shrimp+creamy avocado. We asked for meat free option. Two types of scones: traditional and with poppy seeds. Served hot with strawberry jam and whipped cream. Desserts: cherry cheesecake, white chocolates, berries, pistachio macarons, lemon eclairs. Everything topped with edible gold leaf. All was super good, fresh and delicious. I always prefer clotted cream for scones, but ok. Service was stunning. Can not believe that it is the same place and hope that every guest will get the same experience 2.07.2018 We booked an afternoon tea in advance with allergy alert: no meat. Fish, dairy products, eggs are fine. We booked a table at 14:00 We showed up at 13:50 and got a table, waiter asked us about tea I chose chai and my partner  Darjiling. It took them 20 minutes to bring us tea. I  asked the waiter how long it will take them to bring us everything else? It takes 25 minutes to make an afternoon tea was her reply. OK, why we ordered it at 14:00?! No idea.  A handle of the kettle was too hot and impossible to hold in a hand. See the photo of the kettle below. It was not much taste in tea, I think they kept it in a box for too long, it didn 't taste fresh. After 10 minutes we got the rest: 2 eclairs, 2 cherry cheesecakes, 2 chocolates with dry fruit/ 2 scones with jam and whipped cream (not clotted), 6 sandwiches 4 with cucumber, 2 with salmon and egg. Sounds ok, until you look at it.  Everything looked like it was made in a hurry and yesterday. Cucumber skin wasn 't removed and it wasn 't cut  properly. Actually first time in my life I saw a  cucumber cut so uneven. They change goat cheese sandwich with ham to....a cucumber sandwich. Again! We came, because afternoon menu seemed to be  quite attractive, but in a real life it looked very disappointing. We sent it back and payed only for tea 100 NOK. Service is poor and quality is low. It is like guests arrived when you didn 't expect them and you are trying to find something to serve with a cup of tea in empty kitchen. It cost 700 Nok for 2 and it is 4 star hotel. The worst Afternoon tea experience I have ever had in my life."
