"My niece and her fiancé were in town for a few days, which included Valentines Day. Having a number of positive experiences there, encouraged them to go to Joseph's. After looking at the menu they agreed it looked great. However, they discovered when they arrived that the Valentine's Day menu was completely different and did not include fillets, which is what they had wanted. This was probably our favorite dining experience in Colorado Springs. I had the Chilean Sea Bass special (pictured) and he had the Scampi Genovese. Both dishes were spectacular! It had a perfect crunch to the outside from searing and it was almost buttery on the inside. I had the 8th Street cocktail and it was like an elevated margarita. Delicious! Apparently reservations are typically necessary, but we went on a Monday night and it was just us and another couple. It doesn't get more romantic! Go to this place!

My husband and I had such an amazing experience at Joseph's Fine Dining. The atmosphere is so intimate and warm. The food is absolutely devine! We ordered a steak medium rare, and it actually came out perfectly cooked, which hasn't happened at other restaurants for a VERY long time. The wine is fabulous, and they have a very extensive wine list as well. Our server Luis cleared our table for each course, which was something that we hadn't seen for years at other restaurants. For a fine dining experience, where great service still exists, definitely go to Joseph's.

"So delicious! We went for a walk downtown and decided to stop in because the door was open. Best choice we've made in a while. The gentleman behind the counter handed me some blonde chocolate. Never had it before, but I walked out with a bag! Made in store and totally worth the fat! I will be going back and trying something new next time."

"we were here earlier and had a great time with great food, about a year ago. there's something changed. the carpaccio was pasty, the wagyu flat iron steaks were hard and cold, and the framed spinat and mushrooms lacked salt / flavor. and the garnelen sampi steak that hit with the huge garnels was insensitive, the garnels were so overcooked that I literally had to bite as hard as I could get through the first one and I could not do the first. they were friendly enough to take the price of garnel from the bill. the ambiente was overwhelming, the piano player played so loud to override the gas house that everyone had to scream over him. it was as loud as a sporty one. my man, who is hard to hear, could not hear anything I said all the meal, and his service dog was also very concerned. overall, for a meal near $300 for 2 people with wein, appetizer, 2 main courses, 2 pages, and still a generous tipp for the waiter (that was not his fault, so why short him in a tipp,) we were incredibly disappointed and will not return."

"Oh, this is a great place for a leisurely family dinner. There is no loud music. You can talk to your family in peace. It's so unusual. The staff is very friendly and courteous. We arrived for dinner and found a place for us. I recommend taking snails according to the recipe from the chef. They are in an amazing creamy sauce with mushrooms. We were also surprised by the onion soup. It's easy to spoil it, but here it's gorgeous. We also liked the children's menu it is very homemade. The kangaroo meat was soft and delicious. I recommend to try it. The Sirloin steak was cooked superbly. The portions are human and that's great. We enjoyed the homemade salad. I liked the bar card. A large selection of drinks. It's a great place. Looks like we'll definitely be back."

"Jax has always been one of my favorite seafood places from back in the day in Denver before Rockies games. And while Jax is still a super solid albeit pricey call for food, their Happy Hour just isn 't the same as it once was. The amazing duck fried rice seems to be completely off the menu. The wedge salad, although still on the main menu, has been removed from HR. Replacing these (and other) classics seem to be riffs on gumbo that just isn 't that great. The always solid muscles have been reduced to only one preparation and the portion size is so dinky it bears no resemblance to what it used to be. It also comes with toast to soak up the delicious juice...one piece...my table of four had to fight over one dinky piece of toast. C 'mon Jax, stop cheaping out. As with so many things in the world, people seem to forget what got them to success and commit hari kari in the name of 'being new and fresh ', 'reinventing themselves ', or certainly apropos here, try to pinch a penny. You guys used to be so good..."
