The pretzel, the Brick Chicken and the pork chop were the highlights. Many surprising elements in each dish we ordered.The cocktails were delightful. One of the few restaurants in its class that has cocktails on the menu. We tried the Jolly Green Giant and the Old Fashioned and both were, similar to the food, refreshing takes on classic cocktails that were just perfectly balanced. Highly recommend."

Protege always hits the mark. Recommend a la carte over tasting menu to try out a full range of their excellent small plates.Cocktails are all very fun, bartenders are knowledgable. Usually a same day reservation can get you a seat at the bar.

Best in south the bay!!! A place that you must visit. As for the a la carte menu, try their pretzels and brick chicken. Those are the best I have ever had. The tasting menu is wonderful as well! The price is surprisingly affordable compared to other similar restaurants. Wine list is comprehensive. Staffs are friendly and professional.Food: 5/5

Our party of 4 dined in the Lounge on a recent Saturday evening celebrating Law School graduation. Every aspect of our evening was perfect. Impeccable informative service. The food was amongst the best we’ve had anywhere in the world. The Lounge menu is small yet interesting with something for everyone. A curated wine list offering a nice (but not overwhelming) selection. Highly recommend.
