"In any case, a raised feeling and price was not too bad. The food was very carefully prepared. The burger was the best burger I ever had. Remembered how Marshal talked about the best burger in New York in the show How I met your mother: Just a burger? Just a burger. Robin, it's so much more than just a burger. I mean, this first bite-oh, which heaven is the first bite. The bungalow, like a sesame frackled chest of an angel, gently on the ketchup and mustard below, aromas mingling in a seductive pas de deux. And then... a pimp! The most playful little pickle! Then a piece of tomatoes, a leaf of salad and a... a patty of ground beef so exquisite, swirl in your mouth, break up and combine again in a joint of sweets and so delightful. This is not a sandwich made of grilled meat and roasted bread, Robin. This is God who speaks to us in food. It was a transformative experience."

"Hubby had the meat leaf and it really loved it....I had spaghetti and garlic bread and it was the right amount....may have stopped the green paprika but, I put it on the side of the plate....But, it was great.... the staff is very friendly and eager to change the channel if necessary....We will be back....High recommend."

"I have truly fallen in love with far western Virginia and all the amazing small towns just off of I 81, and Abingdon is definitely on my list of favs. And on my visit to Abingdon, I stumbled upon White Birch Food Juice and I am so happy I did! The Vibe: This is an Uber cute place with seating outside. I could tell alot of locals go there and hang out. Service: Service was great, super friendly and attentive. I got alot of great suggestions and enjoyed chatting about the area. Food: The food was really good. I had the Birch Power Bowl Rice quinoa topped with broccoli, chicipeas, seasonal root vegetables, dried cranberries, seasonal nuts, Ziegenwald goat cheese, and a maple tahini dressing. I also added avocado and a fried egg to the bowl. The bowl was super satisfying and delicious. My only complaint was the raw walnuts. I would have preferred toasted walnuts or another type of nut. I also had the Golden Milk Latte which was surprisingly delicious! (Wolf Hills coffee, house made oat milk, turmeric paste, agave cinnamon, coconut oil). A cool feature is that they have a full bar and some interesting cocktails. So if you are ever driving along I 81 and wondering where to stop head to Abingdon and stop by White Birch Food Juice. "Same folks that have JJ’s on the other side of town (also excellent). Noting this because they know food! JJ’s is called a sports bar but for a foodie they have consistently great food, regular Epicurious specials, and it is always incredibly freshsuper fresh and perfectly preparednot your typical “sports bar”. I missed trying their papa toms before it closed in Covid. I did not even know they were open again ended up popping in with my family on one of their few days back open. Absolutely spectacular and to no surprise incredibly well prepared and fresh! Added bonus is the staff. Owners, managers, and serversdozens and dozens of total dining experiences and never a bad one with this group. Kid-friendliness: Chicken tenders some of the best which the kids love and I always finish."
