"With respect to Bistro Barberet Bakery in Lancaster, Pa, if you have never dined there, you're missing out. We have dined here before, although not in recent months and have also taken home exquisitely crafted desserts from the bakery. They are EYE CANDY, to be sure and eat as good as they look. We had oysters, escargot and mussels. I had to order 2 because she didn't want me to eat all of her plate. It was delicious. This place has been our go-to for anniversaries for a number of years.

Spot on execution of classic French bistro food, though it’s a mystery why my mussels had so little broth in the dish compared to my wife’s serving. For all the positives, the layout and ambience doesn’t feel like a French bistro. More like a cafeteria. All said, I’d go back.

We took some out of town family to Bistro Barberet for lunch. They loved their meal and want us to take them back before they leave town. Mike provided excellent service and was very attentive. He provided appropriate recommendations and knew the menu well. We will continue to visit Barberet in the future!
