"Two of us came in for lunch. We were seated at an indoor table waited several minutes before anyone approached (they gave myself my toddler water). A few more minutes passed our waiter arrived took our order. One salad, a bag of chips, a bowl of fruit. After half an hour, our food still hadn’t arrived. We saw our server twice: once when he took our order once when he brought our drinks. I had to flag him down ask for our food to go, as it was now past half an hour of sitting I had to get my daughters. The food looked good, but it is not a kid friendly menu, service sucked. $27 for a salad, a bag of chips, a condiment sized cup of fruit, a Diet Coke, chocolate milk plus tip."

Outstanding breads and pastries and other baked goods. The peaches and creme roulata is to die for. Will definitely be coming back to try the sit in lunch options.

Waited 2 hours for scrambled eggs, just to get yelled at by the waitress after asking for a check, mockery. Also, a bakery that has no pastries in stock… Spectacular

Thank you to the wonderful women traveling through Cincinnati who told us about Blue Dog Cafe in Louisville. It was the perfect spot for breakfast and coffee as we drove through the area.

"First let me say the atmosphere is amazing, although a little loud, but in an exciting sort of way, not in a can 't hear your conversation sort of way! Our server, Christian, was amazing! He is absolutely one of the best in the business! He was knowledgable about the menu, the history of the building, bourbon and wine and more! Now on to the food! The crab cake appetizer was the very best we had ever eaten! It was pure crab with just enough bread crumbs on the outside to hold it together! Just big hunks of crab! Yum! We had heard so many times that Repeal had the best steaks in the city so we had to check it out. I am sad to say we do not agree! My filet was overcooked and actually charred on one side even though I ask for it to be medium well (a little pink). My husbands steak was under cooked even though he ask for medium well also. Yes, we could have sent them back, but unless something is inedible, we rarely do. We were just disappointed more than anything, steaks were still very edible and good, just not great! The $20 twice baked potato was not worth $20 even though it did have slices of truffle on top and truffle oil as an ingredient. The Caesar salad was a disappointment! The addition of white anchovies was different but did not elevate the salad in our opinion. The bread pudding was amazing! I highly recommend! Oh, the cocktails were subpar! I know this sounds like a total tear down of Repeal, but it is not! I think we had too high expectations and were just let down by our experience considering the price! So, with all that said, would I go back? Yes! I would but would chose very different menu items than this time. And I would probably skip cocktails and go for wine instead."

"North of Burbon feels like a well kept secret that no one should be keeping to themselves! This place was EXACTLY what I was thinking of when I asked my friends to go to a place that embodied the whole bourbon tasting experience. Did not disappoint one bit! Offering a lavish array of bourbons and an equally impressive menu, it surely knows how to leave a mark on its visitors. During my recent visit with my wife and friends, we were treated to a culinary delight. The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the burger perfectly cooked, sumptuously seasoned, and even though it was a bit on the smaller side, the taste did not compromise. Each bite burst with flavors, assuring that size was not an obstacle to my enjoyment. Complementing the burger was a side of Mac and Cheese, which was nothing short of divine. The texture was creamy and comforting, yet not overly rich, crafted not with a typical cheese sauce, but with a medley of perfectly melted cheeses. It was a unique take that added a sophisticated touch to this classic comfort food. My wife, a fan of Southern cuisine, was overjoyed with her choice a beef PoBoy. She shared that it was delicious and the pairing with her choice of bourbon rounded out the flavors brilliantly. Speaking of bourbon, the variety available at North on Bourbon is commendable. The flight that I selected featured an array of Blanton's and Maker's Mark each with its own distinct profile that went hand in hand with our meal choices. The service was excellent, with a warm and welcoming staff that was attentive and knowledgeable. They guided us through the extensive bourbon selection and ensured our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. The only thing holding back a perfect five star rating is the slightly smaller portion of the burger, which although delicious, left me wanting a bit more. All in all, North on Bourbon combines a wide variety of quality bourbons with a delightful menu, creating a harmonious symphony of flavors that bourbon enthusiasts and foodies will appreciate. With its warm atmosphere, knowledgeable service, and top notch food, it's a place I would wholeheartedly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a great meal amidst the charm of Louisville!"
