"I was visiting the area from the Bronx today. I decided to stop in before going back homebased on these reviews. This place EXCEEDED my expectations. As a Bronx native, I am surrounded by Dominican Puerto Rican restaurants. This place is BETTER than most local places I've eaten at in terms of authenticity. Everything was cooked to perfection. The Pernil was not dry or overwhelming with oregano like most places. The flavors were just right. The habichuelas tasted like Abuelitas. $16 for a plate for dinner, you can't go wrong. After living in Puerto Rico, this feels like home! The food is amazing, you can't go wrong with anything you choose. The owners are the nicest people on earth. By far one of my favorite places to eat in Middletown. I prefer paying with cash to avoid the convince fee on the card but other than that, everything is perfect. You won't be disappointed.
