"Small town of Vibes here serve a fantastic burger and perhaps the best onion rings I've ever had. The waitress was friendly and the food was great. Not expensive, just done right. But no jokes, the onions used for the rings, were paper thin, but slightly broken and perfectly fried. The burger was a good piece, carved with crispy vegetables and good bungalows. Not much more to ask in such a place."

I enjoyed the classic King Ranch Chicken Caserole, which was on the special menu. For pages I chose the salad and the green beans. Especially I enjoyed the wide, flat type of green beans seasoned with bacon, just like Grandma.

'They have a tradition of serving burgers since 1965. However, we chose their chicken lunch specials. Chose grilled and fried served with a selection of 13 pages. Good house-style cooking that is basic comfort food; obviously a drawing for locals including law enforcement people. Friendly and attentive (not excessive) staff.

My annual visit to Llano Texas, since 1979, always includes a visit to the Burger Bar Cafe. This year Burger Bar Cafe was in their new building, which includes a vaulted ceiling and stylish decorations. Their menu still includes their original recipes. My favorite is Chicken Stripes served with a white gravy. New items were added to their Southwest menu selection (Burritos, Tacos).
