"Food was good, not outstanding in my opinion but good. Restaurant was clean , tables spaced nicely and set with cloth table cloths and napkins. The environment could have been charming if it was in good repair and more organized. When you enter the front door you are greeted with a junk room to the left and a beautiful carved Victorian stair case just ahead of you. The staircase had seen better days and there was a very visable hole in the ceiling at the top of the stairs. The dining area where we were seated had holes in the ceiling and BLACK MOLD, coming through the paint where there most likely is an ongoing leak. (SEE PICS) Made me wonder what the kitchen looked like?Options for dine in...

In Keyser WV there are two restaurants I prefer. A Mexican restaurant down from Walmart. Which was closed. The Candlewyck is second to none. The food is always good, the service is great. It is small and intimate. Must try if in the Keyser area.

We eat there often... have never eaten anything here that I didn't like...we have experienced the atmosphere of the newly renovated dining room ..it's nice.... one of our favorites is the cream of the crab soup.. Sunday evening on the Valentine menu was braided Duck Breast... I never eaten duck.so that's what I got... it was delicious. I would recommend to everyone to dinate on Candlewyck
