"Reviews on this wee restaurant looked very good, so during the exploration of the Bangor area we stopped. Parking is terrible on a busy passage with beautiful views of the river. We went in and we were shocked how small this restaurant is! Only five tables and five cabins along the wall with soda machines, prep counters, a small 3-seat bar and a hostess stand on the floor. Since there was no table, we waited outside for the benches, but we only had to wait five minutes until we guided inside and sit on one of the stands. There is not only a large menu, but a white board full of daily specialties. Seafood, lobster rolls, fish stew, burger, roasted chicken, hot dogs....with appetizers and des...

Great memories! My family has traveled to Canada for over 40 years thru Bangor/Brewster and the Eagles Nest is a must stop every trip. The food is secret, fresh and serves great memories every time. Loves the lobster, mussels and desserts! I hope things never change!

O M Gosh! I've never eaten such a great Lobster role in Maine. Very good. The service was wonderful. We'll come back to breakfast, I could have another Lobsta roll hahahahahahahahahaha. The cake was also very homemade. 60 years old this place. Where am I the last 10 years????

If you're fit with the locals, don't look further than Eagle's Nest. This never renovated bungalow houses eight small tables from Maineiacs, all looking for the same: the best lobster roll. Although there is only one cook and one waiter per shift, waiting for food is never long and the meal is definitely worth it (as long as you order the lobster roll). For $16.50, her Texas toast is flooded with big lobster bites and claws with a perfect blend of smooth mayonnaise. The meal is served with large, fluffy frits and a small cup of Colesaw (mayonnaise-based) and a pimple on the side. The lunch hour can be overcrowded, so try to show up before noon and with a small party if you want to sit right...

"You can call ahead 30 minutes before arriving. They don 't take reservations. This place was packed. We went up around this area Saturday for the Aerosmith concert. I came here a year ago I always wished I could have that pizza again. We lucked out and got seated immediately. It is a bit loud in the main hall. They do have a specials menu. They also have gluten free options. Our waitress was accommodating and had a good sense of humor. The Best Damn Pepperoni Pie was damn good. The balance of flavors, the kick from the peperoni, the freshness from the oregano, and the softness of the ricotta made it a great pie. The dough is made locally, as well. A very nice wood fire pizza. The pulled pork sandwich, Like Melted Gold was also really good! I liked the slaw on top. Added more spice, and the texture from the slaw was good too. The sauce was a nice touch as well. The buns weren 't all drenched in sauce and they weren 't soggy soft yet firm. My friends enjoyed their meals drink. One had The Sweetest Mess , she really liked it. The other had a gluten free crust pizza, and she was impressed by it. The other had a hot dog, and he really liked how the hot dog bun was grilled. They can give you just a regular hot dog, too, if you want. They give you mustard and ketchup when asked. The fries were good as well. Our waitress was very nice and had a sense of humor. I noticed that the Fear The Fungus burger on the menu said If our mushrooms make you hallucinate, please inform us immediately so we can overcharge you . I asked the waitress if she 'd still overcharge me if I hallucinated from any of the other food. She said no. : Great experience."
