"I almost forgot one, which still belongs to our previous short trip We were back on the way home and stopped in Abensberg. We were looking for a shaded beer garden. On the edge is the Greek restaurant and a sign with beer garden reads us to choose it. Through the courtyard, where there are some private parking spaces, you can get to the beer garden from outside. The toilets in the interior are also without steps. The inner area is reached at the entrance by a few steps. Service welcome there was none, we were somehow not taken. So we looked for a place ourselves. The funny thing is, regular guests were warmly welcomed and they were offered a place. After some waiting time, a gentleman came...

I eat a lot of Salt but Gyros and Calamari were definitely the saltiest I've ever tested in Germany. Maybe I was just bad day on the job or it could be how the Food should taste, since I'm not very much familiar with Greece Kitchen. But I'll definitely come back and try something else.

I almost forgot one that belongs to our previous short trip. We were back on our way home and stopped in Abensberg. We were looking for a shady beer garden. On the edge is the Greek restaurant and a sign with beer garden reads us to choose it. The courtyard where private parking is available allows you to reach the beer garden from the outside. Also the toilets inside are stepless. The inner area is reached at the entrance with few steps. Service was not welcome, we were somehow not taken. So we were looking for a place. The fun thing is, regular guests were warmly welcomed and they were offered. After some waiting time a gentleman came to us in everyday dresses, gave us the cards, put a jar...

"I stayed at the Kuchlbauer hotel for a few nights whilst on business and I was given a newly renovated room on the top floor, facing the town square. I 've been to Abensberg many times in the past, but this was the first time at the Kuchlbauer. It was also the last time... The room was lovely and spacious, bathroom was fantastic, however there were no curtains, only part blinds on the bottom halves of the windows, which seemed a bit odd. The temperature was stifling, and the temperature setting on the wall offered no respite. I enquired if there was air con, or even a fan. The reply was a flat 'no '. You should also be aware that there is a nightclub next door, and whilst you don 't hear noise from the nightclub itself, the people queueing to get in, and/or go out for a smoke, or waiting for a cab, is ever present until 4 5am... At night there are floodlights on the hotel front, so with the lack of curtains your room is never dark... This was all experienced during the first night of my stay, and I enquired at reception if they could please help. The response was a flat 'no '. Basically the lady at reception couldn 't care less if I had no sleep. They have clearly heard all of this before, because when I raised the issue of noise I was not only cut off before I could finish, but was told that this is a city issue, and not their problem. When I raised the issue about the hot room, I was told to open the windows, which yes you 've guessed it is when the noise goes up to 11. I also enquired if there was a sheet or something that could be done about the lack of curtains. The answer was a flat 'no '. So I think you are starting to get the picture of what you are dealing with here. I even spoke to the owner after the second night and nice though that he was, there was nothing he could or would do. I 'm not quite sure which. They are very clearly used to these complaints so it is staggering that they haven 't addressed them. The hotel itself is lovely, the rooms are lovely, the food is great, but the staff well the less said about some of them the better. Definitely not service minded, let alone in dealing with members of the public. Rude and unhelpful."

"I remember when I first. Once at the restaurant An der Abens. At that time, we thought my husband and I were not going to come back. Well, but since it was the only pizzeria in the city at that time, we were once again stranded there and were very surprised how good it was! Meanwhile we are regular guests and appreciate the good food. On 15.08. our last visit was before the upcoming renovation. It didn't look down at the time or dirty at all, on the contrary. But the owners are obviously of the view that a change must come from. I very much hope that the open wood stove will remain, which one has a good eye on from most of the seats and is allowed to watch father and son at the pizza shop. The rooms were kept in warm, pleasant colours until then. But on that day we ate in the beer garden due to the wonderfully warm weather, which lies directly on the river of Abens and is kept largely shaded by beautiful mourning pastures. On the opposite side is the castle wall, which still underlines the beautiful ambience. The road in front of it does not like to say to everyone, as the engine noise of the passing companions is only slightly damped. For this you can often see old cars and motorcycles passing on weekends. Pizzaria is a family business. Although some waitresses are additional assistants, as the comparatively high number of guests for the family alone can no longer be copied, the hard core consists of the Turkish family Akbulut. They are all very friendly and accommodating and if there is little to do in an afternoon in the wood stove, the boss can also go well in beer garden. We had never had to wait for the food for a long time and none of the nice services was too bad for a friendly smile. An Italian pizzaria from the Turks with Bavarian cosiness led to the full satisfaction of the guests. This is effectively called multicultural! As mentioned in the introduction, food is now excellent. The ingredients are fresh and the food is very tasty. There was an incident some time ago, as when picking up the supplement salad was placed on the lid of the hot noodles, but after a criticism that was very well received, this has no longer happened and we are still happy to see guests. There's nothing to complain about cleanliness. Of course, this pizzeria is not a Nobel restaurant. But very cozy, with a beautiful ambience, friendly services and delicious food. Cosiness but please don't sit slowly!"
