"Unsuccessful visit. Was visiting from Texas and staying in Dixon. We started at 8:55 pm and estimated arrival was about 9:27 pm. They close at 10 pm. We found more traffic and ETA changed to few minutes after 9:30 pm. Anticipating they might not take order after 9:30 we called them at 9:10 pm. No one picked. We kept calling after every few minutes but the same results....no one pick up the phone. We reached there at 9:37 pm and they said they are closed. I called them right then to see if they had wrong number on Google. They person at front desk said yes the phone is ringing with a smile. So why were you not picking up when we called like 4 times? Google map was showing Less busy than usua...

The Food is great and delicious specially the mix grill sizzler and the chicken tikka masala. I ordered chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, mix sizzler, the egg fry rice and the house salat large. All food was exceptionally delicious and well served. Specially the first day of Eid was very busy and very full but everything was perfect. The owner self served us!! rarely experienced that the owner serve the costumer himself in such good restaurants. I strongly recommend Fresh Wok Halal Restaurant and would come again for more. Thank you!

"Got really excited when this place came up during a web search for another Izakaya. Convinced my partner to give it a try after reviewing other comments on line. The parking should have been a giveaway; trashy, unkept and not maintained, poor street appearance. We walked in and the interior didn’t look much better. Should have left then. But like a toothache, I wanted to try the food. The tempura was crudely chopped hunks of vegetables, greasy, and without flavor. The Hamachi Kama was large and looked okay but had a fishy smell to it and the presentation was lacking; some shredded cabbage and a small dollop of grated radish and an equal amount of dipping sauce and half a slice of lemon. Oy!The several pieces of nigiri looked okay, but we’re not spiced with any wasabi or sauce and the sushi rice was atrocious; it wasn’t even sushi rice but mealy, overcooked and flavorless plain rice that tasted awful. We asked the server if the Tamago was home made, in the restaurant. She assured us that it was. When she delivered it it was the industrial orange yellow, homogenized tamago, which we sent back. The staff was clearly not familiar with the menu and didn’t know their own dishes. Definitely not Japanese, and that included the ‘chef’.We spent over $120 on this meal. It thought me not to rely on general reviews, but trust my first instincts.Avoid at all cost.Parking: Not ADA compliant. Dirty weeds growing around the perimeter. Unkept."
