"The Blu Mangrove has a blue theme as a decoration. They are located at Riviera Dunes Marina with water view. This considered a nice dinning place with relaxing atmosphere. I do see their diner menu is at the middle high side price range. But their lunch special is definitely very affordable. I got the lunch special with 10 oz rib eye. It good deal for the lunch. The steak was cook above my order. I have ask for medium rare but come as medium to medium well. However, it is still a good quality of steak. It is soft and tender. The side come with chef veggies. It was stir fry very well. Service is average good. Attentive but close up can better for the wait to get the check. I like the outside...

We had a great time, as always, at Blu Mangrove. Briana was kind, attentive, and helped make our evening fun. The mussels, clams...and the toast...are our favorite Happy Hour treats. You'll enjoy the food, the company, the music, and the people taking care of you.

It is now The Dockside Social Bar Grill , new menu and Chef. We went there last night. We felt the menu is not quite as upmarket but the food is good. We chose to sample some appetizers. We had volcano shrimp which were really good as was the Mangrove Tempura roll. We would have ate more but we had the chicken roll which is a gut buster.

This is a slightly upscale place that is fun for outings with friends. It isn't super kid friendly but more of a place to start a night out at. The food is pretty good. I have found that I usually end up paying about $40 for a meal and a drink or two. There are a few gluten free options but not as many as I would like there to be. I have found the staff to be friendly. The owner is gracious and likes to welcome people, which encourages me to go back. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Outside they have live music from time to time. The view outside is of a marina with lots of boats.

"If something seems too good to be true it probably is. Something is going on with the reviews on this one as this is not a 4.9 restaurant. Statistically there’s no way they could have zero negative reviews. Restaurant location is quite nice with pleasant views overlooking the street. However, the food was mediocre to poor while being insanely overpriced. The Hawaii was a giant hot mess and should be removed from the menu. The menu was also problematic as it was missing items. Apparently they also serve burgers but you have to ask for a second secret menu. Based on this tactic it appears they are just trying to push their most expensive and overpriced items on the menu. This was easily our most expensive meal in the area and our most disappointing."

"Mar Vista Dockside is our new favorite waterfront dining experience in Sarasota. My family had a fantastic Sunday afternoon-early dinner to end the long Thanksgiving weekend. We really lucked out by getting one of the tables right at the waters edge. I got my seasonal Stone Crab fix, which were perfectly cracked, cold and delicious. My wife had the crab cakes, which dare I say were better than any of the Crab Cakes I’ve had on several trips to Baltimore. Lots of crab and very little filler. My son had the Tuna Poke Bowl which was equally outstanding. The atmosphere under the trees along the water was just what we had been craving! Great service, food and atmosphere. We can’t wait to dine here again!"

"What a gem. Don’t be fooled by the outside this place is beautiful inside. We were lucky enough to get a seat at dinner because they fill up quickly. Crab legs were delicious and risotto was amazing. son had spaghetti and sauce was on the sweeter side but still very tasty. Peel and eat shrimp was a huge serving get the full pound because you’re not going to be able to stop eating them. The most memorable thing was their mashed potatoes. They have to have be the best mashed potatoes on Anna Marie Island."

"The place is cute. Food was not great I ordered the shrimp and grits. It was not hot and did not have that much flavor. We had 8 in our party and no one thought the food was exceptional.
