"Wanted to something different for dinner and I found the restaurant by searching for restaurants near Maplewood MO, and this place came up on the list. After seeing the name I was interested and knew I had to try it. So we met a friend of ours for dinner there. Now I know why they call it Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken it was so good! gus’s huh is always at the point! the personal is always super friendly and accommodating. this place is also really clean. the huh is the star of the show...always juicy and a nice heat / picture on it. love it!

Service was great, chicken was pretty good. I wish it was a little spicier. The mac and cheese, beans and fried okra were all very tasty. They gave us a free appetizer when our appetizer took a while to arrive and we hadn't even complained excellent service! Great value.

My wife I visited here on a Saturday, at the suggestion of a friend. Besides the food, which was excellent, the thing that struck us most was how friendly EVERYBODY was. We were greeted immediately, by a super friendly hostess. Our waitress came by in a minute and was also very friendly. Not weird, just... really nice. The GM even visited our table, and again... what a nice, friendly person. The hot chicken was delicious, the beer was cold, and the tuxedo cake quite tasty. We also had fried green tomatoes, collard greens, coleslaw, and mac cheese for sides. All of it was delicious. We'll back!
