"The food is good, but I was surprised to be told to stand in the waiting area and order off a big menu on the wall and pay before we could be seated. With a party of 7, including 2 kids, I wasn't prepared for that and it was very difficult to make very immediate choices so we could get the kids to the table. Why on earth couldn't we have sat and then walked up to look? Then we were still asked for a tip even though the majority of the table service experience was lost. No problem, we still intended to and did, but to pay nearly $150 for a rushed cafeteria experience where we couldn't really relax, order additional items, didn't feel we could reach out to the waitress with a few issues that...

The way one orders food is fast-food style so there's that, however when you get to your table the service is really good and personable and the food, had the pulled pork and collard greens, was really good. They even made us 2 super fresh pots of coffee. I believe we drank it all too... Go check it out.

We ordered a great deal for a family to come together. The staff was extremely helpful to find out how much we needed to feed everyone and our order confirmed a few days before. The whole experience was pleasant? The FOOD! Oh, my God! We're a sister bunch, but the entire pavilion was calm when they sat down to eat. Only expressions of joy and joy full of mouth Moans. It was amazing and I received many compliments. Harvey?s, thanks for letting my family come together deliciously!

Phenomena. Visit the area from outside the city and see this place up. Really grateful for the positive reviews because it was more than living up to reputation. Just a really nice interior. Nice and cozy. We both have the Brisket sandwiches with sides like onion rings, and frits and Mac cheese. The portions for everything are very large and very fillable. The sandwich and one side was $19, which is not cheap. But if you are the table as full as we are, it is definitely great value. The other thing we notice is that there is nothing standard on the pages. The onion rings are the best I ever had. Love the smoky grill, which is placed in the dough on that day. And the frits are clearly homemad...

"Gus’s is my favorite place to eat. Whenever it is my turn to pick where to go, here is where I pick. However I went by myself yesterday and it was horrible. Worst of all, no one cared. It was a very bad experience for me. The food tasted great and it came out in a decent time frame. However the silverware was dirty and the service was terrible. The waitress told me they had brussel sprouts but she was wrong and just brought me mixed vegetables that I did not order nor want. She never came back to see if things were good and my water was empty the entire time. I wanted a to go order which was a huge issue and I had to ask for the check which I was overcharged. Overall she was the worst waitress I ever had at Gus’s. When I went to leave I told Kelly that the food was good but the service was lousy. Instead of her asking what happened she became argumentative and said that I had one of their best servers. She then gave my credit card to a young man and walked off. So she also gave me bad customer service. Yvette left who was one of their best servers thank goodness Becky is still there. If I go back I will request Beckys area because she always gives excellent service and in return I give her an excellent tip. I tried to call and talk to someone about my experience and was told that besides Kelly everyone was in Greece till the end of July. Shame on Gus’s for treating a customer who has been loyal for years. Like a bother and as if I did something wrong. Good food, terrible customer service !"

"These are some of the photos from what we experienced at Easter Dinner. Our server told us she had to be reminded as she forgets a lot. Drinks weren’t refilled, they ran out of dessert and when asked they added a snickers pie that was dug up quickly to put something out. When I called to speak to a person in charge 2 days later, I was transferred to Emily Good’s voicemail, I called back and GM Larry took the call. This was the same GM that was in a chef coat slicing meat and did not clean, refresh or manage the dining properly the day of Easter, BUT decided to hang up on me when I rebutted everything about our experience. I am not sure what is happening with Mgt here or how they got to this point, but it will go downhill really fast.Edit: to your reply. Where was I to go with my guests after 3:30 on an Easter Sunday to feed them. After your reviews online, we decided this would be a very nice place. Unfortunately, after having a wedding the evening before and all your staff being exhausted and talking about it to us, was no excuse for the dining experience we had. We did eat, meagerly as there was not much to choose from. Not one person left with a full belly. As for a refund, a compensation should’ve been given without ever mentioning anything. We were served like peasants with leftovers for when we had expected a fine dining experience. I’m still waiting for Judy to return my phone call."
