"Very disappointed in Jakes coffee. I come here often in the mornings to do school and today needed to charge my laptop briefly before a meeting I was taking at a different location. I was immediately asked to leave because I wasn't purchasing anything even though it was before 8am and the shop was empty.No where on the door does it say paying customers only. The fact that the shop was empty made it feel very discriminatory. I was only in the shop for a total of 20 minutes and no space or outlets were taken from paying customers.I hope they either put a sign on the door that says paying customers only or they stop picking and choosing who to let sit in their shop. They have great coffee but...

The best coffee shop in University District. The coffee is delicious and affordable. There are also yummy lemon and coconut muffins which the owner makes herself. The owner is wonderful and cares for her customers. Def recommend this spot!Food: 5/5
