"Stopped in for lunch at Jay’s, it was packed. I ordered a Bbq beef sandwich (Jay’s way, meat and sauce), curly fries and backed beans. The beans were extra, only one side come with the order off the menu. There was a fair amount of meat on the sandwich. The beef was freshly cut and doesn’t have a heavy smoke flavor. The bbq sauce comes on the side and is a vinegar-based sauce. It’s got that tangy vinegar tase but not over the top. I felt the order of fries was small, they were hot when I got my basket. So unhappy to see this place rated so low on yelp. This place has the best pulled pork poboy and shakes. One of my favorite bbq places in Baton Rouge for sure.

I absolutely love Jays, the people who work there are always so friendly and sweet. The food is always hot and fresh and the bbq sauce is amazing. I recommend this place to everyone!

Have never left a review for somewhere till now. If you are looking to travel back in time to the Great Depression this is your place. This is the food that the prisoners are back in ww2. The sweet tea was about a diabetics dream. The chopped beef looks and tastes like cow ****. Would not recommend to anyone even with taste buds. It sucks.

"I have finally eaten at all of the fancy steak places I know of. Ruth’s, Sullivans, Buddys (Hammond , Flemings. Ruth’s was slightly more expensive than Flemings, but not by much. I ordered the ribeye at all of them for scientific research purposes. Food wise, Ruth’s has the best steaks, Flemings the best sides, and Buddy’s the best overall (it is by far the cheapest . The table bread was awesome. Steaks were cooked 100% perfectly, which is hard to get because medium means something different everywhere you go. I ordered the ribeye and my girl ordered the New York strip. The ribeye was better than the other three places ribeyes. My girl didn’t care for the New York strip, she said it was very salty. I didn’t notice, but the ribeye was definitely better. The salads were great. I ordered the chopped and my girl the Caesar. Both were great, and the chopped presentation was very unique. The sides were pretty disappointing. We ordered mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and broiled tomato. The tomato must have had sugar on it, it tasted like ketchup. The creamed spinach was bland, and the mashed potatoes tasted homemade (which is good for $3 side, but for a fancy steak place at $10 it needs to be otherworldly . Gave my girl a cheesecake since we were celebrating her birthday. Probably the best cheesecake we have had. Overall a fantastic experience. Our waitress Diamond was excellent and friendly. "I enjoyed my dinner at Ruth’s and the New York strip was amazing and cooked to perfection. We also had the creamed spinach and lobster Mac and cheese, and the calamari as an appetizer which also were just as good. Britney, our waitress, was very attentive and kind. I will definitely be returning on a regular basis to this location."

"I met friends at Kulurah for lunch. Staff was inviting, food delicious and came out quickly fresh and hot. My family also met at Kulurah for a dinner after my granddaughter,s dance recital. So I was definitely going back with friends. Great food and service!!"

"We sat here with the family and we all loved our food and will definitely return. It offers some unique restaurants as well as some that are somewhat more traditional. Overall, the food was very good, even my picky children ate everything on their plate. We had a Paprikapimento cheese (educated) with Baguettes and it was really good. I had the seafood pots cake and it was also delicious. I ordered an apple cake to go and it was one of the best apple cake I ever had, definitely recommend it with some vanilla ice cream."

"This is my second time while in the city coming here. This time, I brought a group of friends while traveling since my first experience was absolutely great. Let me mention this, the first visit was precovid and we were easily accommodated on the patio for a group of 18. One of the best experiences I?ve had with a large party. This time, I had a group of 8, and our server was great! Some things we had to ask another for our differently, but easily accommodated. There was not a person in our party that didn?t like their meal. We came for brunch and as Mexican brunch was unique and different to me, I was greatly intrigued and pleased! The band performance was wonderful! While it was appropriate for all, it was also genre and culture inclusive with the wide selection of songs! Try the frozen mimosa! It was a HIT! Each of us ordered one. They didn?t skimp on the spirit, but still had this consistency to make it frozen. Not sure how they did it, but I?ve never had one nor seen that idea elsewhere and loved it. We?d definitely return!"
