The food was AMAZING! I had the teriyaki sandwich and it was the bomb. Their belt sandwich is great too. Definently recommend this as a go to lunch.

this place is not a commercial restaurant vibe you know the way that they run into tired grouchy coworkers, none of this place is totally the opposite it is care and hospitable the best of all when they are in the door to foot this family running place they feel like family. Used to love this place before I moved, came in tonight to get some cheesesteak subs for my birthday while visiting some family before heading back to lancaster.Even paid 25% tip on the $30 order, and they put american cheese on both of the subs instead of provolone like the menu said it's supposed to have. Totally ruined the sandwiches. Hot american cheese is disgusting.Won't be going out of my way to visit next time I'm in palmdale. If nothing else the employees were really nice and greeted everyone who came in, just wish they hadn't screwed up what I paid quite handsomely for.

"The Lemon Leaf cafe, in Lancaster, is nice. The menu is limited. Here you place your order at the counter and a server brings your food to the table. I like this type of set up when I'm meeting someone and we are paying separately. It takes the awkwardness out of receiving the check. I ordered the soup of the day. It was some sort of bean soup. I can't remember the name or what my friend ordered. That is how unmemorable and unexciting the menu is at this cafe. The food was okay. Nothing special, at all. The decor was mediocre as well. The service was on the left side of okay, too. My companion ordered a cake to go and even though our plates were cleared and it was obvious we we had concluded our meal, the server never asked if she was ready for her to-go dessert. She had to go fetch it herself. Not a big deal but, it doesn't make for superior customer service. I didn't use the bathroom but, apparently a key is required. I will give them another try. It is in the only interesting area of Lancaster. It is on Lancaster Blvd. Lancaster Blvd is our City's attempt at an attractive meeting area with quaint shops like antique stores, a candy store, a few restaurants, Theaters, museum, etc..... but, the energy does not compare to places like The Orange Circle or Downtown Long Beach. The stores are basic and not special. However, we have nowhere else around the Antelope Valley. So. I will go back, when meeting friends."
