"There’s a reason Kingfisher has survived so long in Tucson: reliably good food and service. We had the specials of the night and both were delicious. Perfectly prepared, smoky trout and a moist, macadamia-crusted Hawaiian fish. We also tried dessert. The flourless chocolate torte was perfectly sweet—not too bitter but not sickeningly sweet either. The carrot cake was moist and nicely spiced. We also appreciated their attention to masking, distancing, and overall care for the wellness of their patrons. They have the tables spread out more than pre-Covid, and require reservations. We will definitely come back more frequently given our good experience here."

The spinach salad was excellent... and the special Reisling was great... it was dry with a touch of sweet.. The Bouilabase was much better than what we got in m=Marseills where it was invented. Oysters were very fresh... but I wish they would explain what the little sauces they serve with them... Had no idea what they were other t han the typical sea food sauce.

The food was excellent. Our waitress was not that good. She asked us when we were ready to order if we wanted bread because it takes minutes. After minutes we asked again and the person who brought our water said he would let our waitress know. She came back and said it was going to be a few more minutes our food came and we never got our bread until we were almost finished eating. She did not do that good in other ways also. Sorry FOOD WAS EXCELLENT

"We visited Istanbul Mediterranean Cuisine Bar, 2945 E. Speedway Blvd., Tucson AZ 85716 in March 2022. A host greeted us and sat us right away. Food: I had never been there before and I ordered the Doner Wrap that is 80% beef and 20% lamb. The wrap was huge and I could only eat half. It was served with tzatziki sauce, which was very good, but I did not end up putting it on the sandwich since the meat was so moist and flavorful. The sandwich came with a choice of two of sides of; rice, salad or fries. I got the fries and salad. The fries seemed like they were just cooked and the salad was fresh and vibrant with a vinaigrette dressing on it. I would recommend this sandwich plate. My husband ordered the spicy chicken pita that he like very much. He said the pita bread was delicious, soft and seemed freshly made. The chicken was tossed in a sauce and also came with a side of sauce that was quite spicy hot. We also ordered baclava and the chicken lemon soup to go and both were very good. Service: The service was very good and prompt. They served the food quickly. We were in and out within 45 minutes, which is what we like. We did not feel rushed at all. Funny, I asked my husband to request more napkins and the next thing I knew was the waiter brought a stack of napkins. I asked my husband if he had signaled to the waiter, but he said he did not. So apparently, they can read minds there! The layout of the restaurant is larger booths on the right side with tables down the middle and the bar, with stools on the left. There was a part at the back that had a sign “Only for large parties” with multiple tables. Not a big restaurant. The place was very clean and the noise level was low. Parking: There is a parking lot in front of the restaurant, but additional street parking that had plenty of spaces available. The atmosphere felt more adult focused with the bar and there was not any children. The cost was very reasonable I would highly recommend going and we will return."
