"Found this hidden gem while driving through Newport News today! This spot was cozy and welcoming, not to mention the staff made me feel very comfortable while attending to my needs. As for my order, I had spicy tonkotsu ramen along with their new strawberry boba. The ramen was very flavorful and it definitely felt like the chef had put a lot of effort into making the broth. I loved the toppings that came with the dish as the chashu pork melted throughout my mouth and the spicy umami broth lingered on the roof of my tongue and back of my throat. To end this meal, I decided to order a strawberry boba to-go which pleasantly reminded me of the iconic Korean strawberry milk which I buy in carton...

It’s my first in VA and I was really craving ramen and this place had exactly what I wanted. The server is really nice and attentive! You can tell the sushi chef puts great attention to the dishes to make the them really good. The food was up to my expectations (p.s i’m a very picky eater) I will definitely recommend this place to others!

My family really enjoyed ourselves tonight. Seems like a family owned business, everyone was extremely polite. We all enjoyed some ramen, sushi, pork skewers and saki. It wasn't super americanized and tasted authentic, which I personally loved. But expect less salt and not so covered in sauces. But overall a solid 10/10 for what we were looking for! We will definitely be returning for more and want to thank the people there for such a wonderful family night out!Kid-friendliness: They had a son that was enjoying himself, my son wanted to play with him so bad! And they also were extremely polite trying to help him with his chop sticks and getting him a fork when he struggled

"I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and I was referred by a friend, so it was my first time dining here. The Atmosphere to me is not very kid friendly. Everyone stared when we walk in. I had my seven year old daughter and my nine month old son. No one else in there had their children with them. The service was horrible. It took 20 minutes to even come ask us what we wanted to drink. After we gave him our drink choice, he just left. Never asked us if we wanted an appetizer or if he could offer any help with the menu being that that was our first time there. He seemed annoyed if we ask him any question. We also had to get his attention to get a refill to get a refill on our breadsticks to order appetizer to order our food. It’s like he never came to check on us, but he checked on all his other tables. We were also the only Black people in there so I feel like that is a part of a horrible service as well. Everyone else was treated nicely and friendly and we were not. I was so upset that I lost my appetite and did not finish my lasagna I spoke with Manager afterwards and she claimed she never received any complaints, but I go out to eat all the time and I good service and I know I should be treated at a restaurant. I never leave reviews on restaurants website so for me to leave a review it had to be bad. I will never ever come back here. Manager told me to come back and just reserve a table and request her, but I still refuse to come back. If I could give ZERO stars I would!!!!"
