"Genuinely the worst shabu experience I’ve ever had. Make no mistake, this isn’t on the staff or the service — they were great and attentive. I feel bad that they have to work at a place like this. The selection was horrible, limited, and so so not worth the price at all. There are like a dozen better shabu places in Mira Mesa alone. It’s just bad and overpriced; for what you’re paying, you get basically nothing. Soup tasted super bland; both of the ones we ordered were basically like drinking boiled water with a dash of salt. The vegetables offered were so strange — how does chive ENDS count as a vegetable? Also none of the traditional veggies you’d find in a shabu spot. No other meat optio...

You will need to get out of your seat often to go to see the different vegetable and drink offerings. Our table was butted up against the corner, so it was very uncomfortable, and we had to constantly bump into the table next to us
