Any reviews posted before November 2017 are in reference to the previous restaurant The Craftsman. The Bungalow Club is not even open as of March 24, 2018. Perhaps these old reviews will disappear after the new place opens. If not, this is a problem with Google Maps and restaurant customer reviews. SO BE AWARE. Do not let unfavorable reviews of The Craftsman deter you from visiting a restaurant that has yet to open. My 5 Stars mean nothing at this point either.

We'd been saving a $100 gift certificate for our 49th wedding Anniversary on 9/7/17 for which we made the reservations several days to a week in advance. Open Table confirmed both the initial reservation for two and then the modified version the day of the reservation (9/7/17) for 4. We arrived at Craftsman to find a note taped to the doors, front and side, that the restaurant was closed. Disappointed yes, but inconvenienced even more so at not being notified as soon as we made the day of reservation modification that the restaurant was closed. Grossly disappointing. I 've been taking out of town guests here for years and have generally been pleased with both food quality and wait staff. Brought my in-laws here and it frankly sucked. Hardly anyone there 1st night of the State Fair? , literally one other couple when we arrived and one other 4-person group half way through and the waitress was unbelievably inattentive far more interested in chatting with her buddy at the bar , it took a half hour to get our appetizer it wasn 't up to our standards, at first ; really? it was plain and mediocre, at best, when it arrived , the expensive entrees were meh bland, tiny portions, with the sea bass unrecognizable .
