"This is also a restaurant where the rating of 5 stars is not enough. We already know the owner when he was waiting with his brother-in-law at the Hagener Landgericht. In 1994 he made himself independent and opened the International, which was then a day tour with coffee and cake. The building was renovated and a large conservatory building was created. Since the area is a little rural, it has made regular guests with rustic Balkan dishes, international cuisine and excellent steaks. This is due to the excellent meat quality of manufacturers from the environment and the consistent quality of food. From Monday to Friday there is a cheap lunch table. A beautiful salad buffet completes everything. On public holidays, as on May, an ox is grilled on the forecourt. We have tried many, many dishes in the many years where we visit this restaurant and never gave fat, or tendons meat on the plate. Here it is worth returning."

"The restaurant is an old, restored, somewhat original, rustic house on a dam. It also serves as an excursion hall. The toilets are also a bit rustic and I didn't pick up the day myself. A colleague was not very enthusiastic. When leaving the place, it smells very unpleasant at the door to the Toliette rooms. I'd say there's not enough ventilation in the basement. The ambience was very nice on the day, it was all decorated Christmas. The menu was extensive and contains something for every taste. I don't know if she changes more often. The guests were mixed the day and several Christmas celebrations took place. The staff was nice, but obviously not very interested in how the dishes arrived at the guests. I wasn't asked if I had a taste. Food: As an appetizer lobster cream soup. Tastefully okay, but no highlight and unfortunately only lukewarm. As the main course stone butter, which was cooked according to the menu in the oven. He came in aluminum foil on a vegetable bed. The fish was cooked. The much too small stone butter that was on the vegetable bed as a whole was not enough to satisfy a normal appetite. In addition, one had neither space nor an additional plate to professionally free the entire stone bump from the head with main bone and tail. Our office had ordered all dishes in advance, so it was unfortunately not possible to inquire about the individual dishes and preparations beforehand. I hate cooked or damped fish. The dessert, crèpe in orange caramel sauce was quite appealing even if the sauce was not very caramel. I just drank coffee there and ordered a waffle. The waffle was missing the ice, even if desired it was no longer refilled. "We regularly drive the route between Hagen and Kierspe. In the restaurant “Haus Wengeberg” we wanted to have a drink. Unfortunately, my wife and I were denied access on Tuesday night. According to an employee, we can only drink a drink if we eat something. Of course, the host has house law and can decide who his guest is and who is not. I'm also self-employed, in the healthcare sector. But let's imagine that I will only treat people who bring me the corresponding profit. That's ridiculous, right?
