The service is typical for a takeout place, but the staff is friendly enough. They work long hours and are open even on most holidays, indicating that it is likely a family-run business. I am a big supporter of these independent, non-franchised businesses, as they seem to be disappearing. Overall, I give this place a thumbs up for their delicious food and convenient hours of operation."

"Salvatore, Anna, and the excellent team at Salvatore's of Elmont created an enjoyable and memorable night for our party of 40 people. The outdoor seating was comfortable and accommodating. The food was served piping hot, which I appreciate, and was delicious; there was a lot more than we could finish and we took home dishes for lunch tomorrow. "KUMO GOT ME THROUGH BAR EXAM PREP! I had kumo multiple times a week while at home studying for the bar exam for two months straight and every time I was so happy because the food is delicious. I even decided that lunch special chicken terriakyi was what I’d have for the first day of the Bar Exam, so my dad picked it up and brought it to the hotel I was taking it in in Uniondale during my lunch break. I cannot recommend this place enough!!! Their lunch special are reasonable priced and they give a great amount! I’ve also been eating here since I went to VSN north and will keep continuing to do so! "Very fast and friendly service, the food was amazing and one of the only times I've gone to a diner with free coffee refills and the coffee doesn't taste like water. The serving sizes were large and worth their price and I am so sad that I found this jewel of a restaurant a week before the way from Talstrom. If you're looking for a nice place for breakfast / brunch don't look further! I still have to taste their lunch / dinner, but I had their quiche as well as their Corned beef hash and Caesar salad. Friend had pancakes, eggs and bacon. Very delicious 10/10 would go again. Also watching the connection that the waiters had with some of the customers was so good that it exploded my heart. Just listen to one of the servers when she saw a master name and looked at him and the usual? Another spoke to an older couple who was on a date and treated them with so much kindness and respect. You don't see that kind of real kindness much anymore. Amazing that this place has such good relations with its restaurant goers."

"Hands down the best gluten-free pizza and calzone I ever had!!! This comes from someone who had keliac disease for more than 7 years and who probably tried almost everyone's gf pizza! Maria the owner is an absolute treasure- she is friendly, incredibly knowledgeable about gluten-free, and makes you feel at home. The service is great, everything is delicious (free and regular menu items also). My family and I eat here all the time if you didn't try it, you really have to!"
