I’m just going to start by saying that I personally don’t enjoy doughnuts that much but these were freakin’ delicious and have made me realize that there are indeed good doughnuts in the world. Reigning Doughnuts is a little, warm hole in the wall located in the NODA area of Charlotte. Your doughnuts are made to order, they will ALWAYS be fresh (so expect a short wait). I tried the Honey Glazed doughnut and the Cream Cheese Blueberry doughnut. The Honey Glazed was okay, but the CC B literally made me jazz for joy. So soft, fluffy, fresh, and firm. This is definitely a place you should stop for dessert. I don't hear a lot of people talk about this place after a year and half of Charlotte living and I don't understand why, this place was fantastic. I usually take a pass when it comes to donuts, but these ones are worth the calories. This place is a LITERAL hole in the wall, the donuts are fresh, warm, soft on the inside, and slightly crisp on the outside. Added bonus: the staff was so nice and bubbly, plus the prices are modest.
