"I first experienced Sam Andy 's as a freshman at UT in 1984. I was so sad when it closed on The Strip but the west location is just as good! Over the past year or so, I became a frequent customer, as my terminally ill brother loved nothing more than a Roast Beef Provolone steamed sandwich. And of course, if I was stopping by for my brother, I had to get something for myself as well LOL! If you 're eating in, Sam Andy 's feels like a typical diner, and it 's very busy at lunch. There 's lots of noise as people place orders, pick up orders, etc. while the workers are shouting instructions to each other. If you 're in Farragut, stop by and enjoy a steamed deli sandwich! There 's none anywhere...
