Wow.... just wow.... up on the mountain overlooking Innsbruck, show Kapuzenberge until the eye can see. If that wasn't enough, the music in the beer garden was kindly approved by the Austrian Brass Band Patscherkofelklang, they were amazing. Great music, great beer, great atmosphere, great view. If you are in Innsbruck, it is worth visiting.

You can visit this restaurant by taking the cable car from Patsch and at the top station. From there, the shelter is very close and the best restaurant on the mountain. The food is fresh, tasty and served very quickly. We had potatoes with bacon and blood sausage, a local soup and an apple, poppy and pumpkin strudel. It was also cheap and the view is beautiful. You can then run some strudels in the alpine garden that planted alpine flowers in a meadow that you can see from a path that surrounds the garden.

We have visited this restaurant at Patscherkofel twice first in Winter and the second time in Summer. On both our visits we sat outside on the terrace and the views over the ski slopes (Winter) or the meadows (Summer), down to Innsbruck are breathtaking. There are sheepskins and blankets available in case it is cold outdoors but you can't bear to miss out on the view while eating a meal. This is a great place to stop for lunch when skiing or hiking in the mountains. The Patscherkofelbahn is directly beside the restaurant for easy transportation up and down the mountain.
