"This was our 2nd time at UVA . The first time was great and we decided to come back for my wife’s birthday. The waiter Walter) took our order, had to be prompted to open our wine bottle. It is a byob) and then he disappeared . Someone else brought our meals except mine wasn’t what I ordered. I sent it back and our waiter admitted he wrote the wrong thing down no apology) mine finally arrived and was very tough. At that point we gave up, paid the check, made a comment at the desk and left. To be fair the manager Sean) gave us a card worth $25 on our next visit and told us to ask for him next time."

"I went for happy hour. The drink prices were great for my beer. Most menu items for happy hour were good. Had the chicken quesadilla, chicken wings and fries. both were a good buy. The chicken tender and french fries happy hour meal includes 2 chicken tenders. Will definitely go back for happy hour and just for lunch/dinner as I find the food delicious. Our server was spot on."

"We had lunch here on a Friday afternoon. I have dined here before and was never impressed with the food but this most recent visit was particularly disappointing. The sweet potato soup was incredibly sweet, overly seasoned and so thick that it was inedible. Their house specialty pork sandwich was tasteless seemingly no spices at all. Must have used all the spices in the soup. The au jus served with it was also tasteless like right from a can. The crab cake cake sandwiches were cold in the middle and appeared to have been reheated. They were sent back to the kitchen. The new cakes were much better probably because they weren’t laying around like the first two. The burger was ok but couldn’t have been cooked from scratch since it was ordered medium well and took less than 5 minutes for it to be served along with the other food. Based on the food we were served at this lunch Tonys needs some talent in their kitchen and oversight of the food being prepared. The upside was that that the staff was friendly and apologetic about the food and comped the round of drinks that we had."

"I ordered a Power Menu Bowl, and had specific requests made that was easy to do on their user friendly app. I essentially doubled in meats, cheese, guacamole, and chicken. The price was also doubled. However, upon opening the meal at home, none of the items I had doubled were there. Everything went well up until I was about to eat it. Never again"

"Well I have been to Blue Sage before and had a good meal. The menu is simple but varied enough so anyone can get something they like. I ordered the Double Smoked Grilled Cheese with butternut soup. The dish comes served with a salad as well which is where the problems started. I had started to eat the salad and taken a few bites when I turned over a piece of chard to find a large dead grasshopper which curiously also had the vinaigrette applied to it. Me and my fiance politely told the server about my issue. I was pretty grossed out so I could not finish my grilled cheese as it was on the same plate as the grasshopper. The server/host offered to give us a discount. I then asked for the check and the discount applied was 5$. 5$ off an 18 dollar entre. I was so grossed out I just wanted to leave and did not want to press the issue. Me and my fiance will unfortunately not be coming back to Blue SagePic related in the center is the insect."
