"I enjoyed my dinner at Big County Cafe during a recent stay in Dumas. The service was attentive and friendly and my meal was good. The salad tasted fresh and the chicken fried steak and potatoes was very delicious. It is located in a cool older building with a large restaurant sign before and old school vibe complete with wooden walls on the inside. The place seemed to be popular with locals and this is usually a good sign. I'd eat here again."

"Ohmygosh, I only ate the best Chili Relleno I ever had!!! Cheese filled (white cheese broken fried. I was looking for the perfect Chili Relleno since we went to Amarillo in '76 and now I found it! Also the fried rice beans were epic next step!!! My husband had Carne a la Mexicana and I tasted it. Same! Unbelievable!! Hubby's friend had the Tilapia. It was huge and he said it was so delicious! We can't wait to go all the way back to Dumas to eat here again and when family from the city visit us, we have to go to Dumas to this fantastic restaurant!"

"Food was good but rather average. Nothing exciting. Does not have white queso. Yellow/orange instead and a bit questionable whether it 's actually 100% cheese or perhaps made from 'cheese spread '. Good chips salsa. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Chips and Salsa"

"The manager named Candice at braums in Dumas TX was exceptionally great at all around the service. She cooked one of the best burgers I've ever had from Braums and was fast over it. Then I made a huge ice cone. Definitely recommend eating there while making orders. Very satisfied!!"

"My family and I have been staying in the area for work and in a hotel near the restaurant; so we WERE frequent visitors to 287 Roadhouse. When I say frequent, I mean more than 3 times per week and an almost $100 tab each trip. First of all...we were treated so disrespectfully by the manager when we returned food because it was not as ordered and the chicken was GRAY!!! He shoved the plate in front of me and then when I refused to eat it... he made the poor waitress pay for my meal! HE IS RUDE!!! We left the waitress enough on her tip to pay for the meal, but ensured her to let the owners know that we will NEVER come back as long as they have that man managing their restaurant....the food is decent, but not worth dealing with him!"
