"Our group of 13 was warmly greeted by the bartender and his boss (proprietor? when we arrived. Offered to seat us outside, quickly assembled tables to seat us all together. Bartender doubled as server (late lunch , was very attentive and with a positive wit played the group well. Food was a bit slow coming out, server explained the cook had just started an all-new menu. Server handled that very well, too. Food was well-above par for a corner pub, a nice surprise on top of the great service. Range of orders from sandwiches and burgers to entrees, all 13 of us happy with what came out of the kitchen. Definitely worth stopping in for lunch, nice alternative to the old standbys on Wells."

Great restaurant in regards to location, food prices and service. It was also very clean. The food was just right for its prices and portions. The bucket deal they have everyday is a great deal for the city. I would definitely go back.

Tavern on Wells is essentially half bar and half high top tables, with a pool table in back. It's comfortable and the food was excellent. We'll probably go again during warm weather when we want to stop off for a bite when touring Old Town. It's simple, good food at reasonable price.
