"Forget it. Service was there, but apathetic. Dinner was moderate. The food prices were high. Nothing was bad, but nothing was worth living. We left the feeling that it was a $50 for a lunch that would have spent better somewhere. The low lights: the lobster BLT was a BLT on Ciabatta, which was sprinkled with a little shrunk lobster. The bread did not stop and the sandwich fell apart after two bites. The Walleye-Poboy was designed by someone who didn't know what a Poboy is. The bread was dense and hard way too much bread should it be in a light flakey French baguette. Instead, it was a cold hoagie roll with a bit of very good fish that was completely consumed by bread a little spice. Fries a...

This is the second time we have been here and both experiences were pleasant. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. They have some creative items and have successfully blended bar food, seafood, and smokehouse. It is a very comfortable chill environment and I highly recommend you visit.

The Kale Caesar with grilled salmon kicks! There is a serious taste in this dish, and I'm not a salad man. Actually, I have salads. For boys I would say get 2 pieces of salmon....its about 3 to 4 ounces, but this has a little intense taste. The dressage sits down so keep the salad sucking. Ted has great staff here. I was here a lot.

It used to be my favorite restaurant, everything I ordered was delicious, every bite was great. For a nice night out, ready, delicious food instead got cold bath, uncooked frits, cold possibly 1 2 days old meat for my duck and dry as possible. The food used to be so delicious, there was always pride behind the food that is served to its customers. This time as well as the previous trip was a huge return flight. Unfortunately, it seems to be another experience with every visit to the hill.

"Let me start by saying, this place serves the absolute best tasting Thai food I have ever had in eastern NC. I live in Goldsboro and I drive an hour just to eat here. I have enjoyed 3 different Thai places in Goldsboro and in comparison the best of the 3 deserves MAYBE a 4 star rating. Thai-Esan most definitely deserves the 5 star rating. In fact I would say 6!If your hungry, come to Thai-Esan. The portions are not going to leave you hanging. Usually with large portions you sacrifice quality... Not at Thai-Esan. This place packs the freshness in everything they make. The Pad Kee Mao is one of my favorites. The noodles are perfectly cooked and loaded with flavor. Definitely a dish you want to try.Now... I know this is a Thai restaurant... But I want to point out something on the menu that is worth trying.Beef Bulgogi- Though originally a Korean dish, I have to say this restaurant nails it. In my opinion better than any other Korean restaurants I have been to. The beef is so tender and the flavor is absorbed into the meat. The portion is generous, but it is so good it is hard to have leftovers. In fact you could walk out of the restaurant overflowing with food saying your never going to eat that much again and if you were offered another plate of their bulgogi, I assure you, that without a second thought, you will be piling more into your mouth. Yes.... it's that good.Nothing goes better with these dishes than a side of fresh Kimchi. They have the freshest tasting Kimchi I have ever had. The intense tang and spice creates explosions of flavor in your mouth. If you never had Kimchi, your missing out.So there you have it. If you want a true taste of Asian cuisine here in Eastern NC, Thai-Esan needs be your destination. They are family owned and very engaged with their customers. And that alone makes the experience unforgettable.*Don't forget the Thai Tea!"
