"Wendy's in Emporia, KS had it's Grand Opening the week before Christmas in 2019 in it's brand new building. The vehicles were backed up on 6th Avenue for at least a block. Although Wendy's was extremely busy due to their Grand Opening, all of their workers were pleasant and not pushy. The food came far more quickly than expected; it was hot and tasty. When the mobile app did not work (remember this was their first day), they were eager to find a solution. That was the only glitch I could detect; most of the time I expect a litany of issues in the first weeks. Perhaps it was due to having another experienced general manager (from their Andover location) there even in the evening. As I was leaving, and cutting across the drive thru lane, I overheard the employee who was extremely patient and understanding when a customer asked a question. It looks like Wendy's hired workers who exhibited a positive and helpful attitude."

"Have you ever had a sandwich so good that you don't want to eat anything else, or anywhere else for a while? It happened to me with the Black Cat Po-Boy. Eventually I tried burgers, and phillies and other po-boys and cheesecake... and I feel that same way every time. Great friendly atmosphere, family owned and operated. This is my favorite burger joint."
