"the meal was good, service good. we were in the time to concert and billing lasted one because to get with the card and pay was slower, and only card slip did not return original bill. possibly targeted as they knew that the show started in milner center and they might padded the bill with about $12 so we wouldn't notice in our hurry. my server took it back and corrected it without comment about what happened."

the service is bad and it is always dirty and blunt, especially flooring. that is regrettable because they are in a great location and have a beautiful atmosphere

I was a frequent diner at onkel julio and Sunday night experience was terrible. they ran out of the dingen on the menu and what they served was just ok. it took forever to get utensil and serviettes, so we finally got up and get them from an open table. otherwise our food would have been cold. it took four separate trips to bring our food to the table. will not go back.

"Decent at best. That’s all really. It is very noisy- by design. Look up and you’ll see why. The ceiling is designed to carry the noise from the bar throughout the restaurant. And honestly I don’t care to listen to the bumpin music they’re playing at the bar when we’re at our booth 50+ feet away. It is also very dim. Extremely poor lighting, according to our waitress (who was very nice) this is also by design because other diners have made comment about this too and she said she’s mentioned it and the feedback she gets is “it creates the ambience.” Yeah okay…… “ambience.” The food is decent at best. Caesar salad was pretty good. But what is up with the streak being doused in butter? There was a pool of butter on my plate around my steak. Is the lighting dim in the kitchen too? Can the chefs not see what they’re doing? All in all, New York Prime is not any better than Morton’s or The Capital Grille. In fact, we probably should have gone to one of those two. There’s nothing New York about this restaurant at all. After returning home we decided to check out New York Prime’s website and read their menu story about how “New York Prime is a different kind of steakhouse.” If you ever want a laugh, read that. You’ll tear up, it’s hilarious. Proprietors seem very full of themselves! Anyway, we were very unimpressed, will definitely not be returning."
