"The staff was extremely friendly, at this quaint little diner! Our server was extremely attentive she kept our drinks filled and our food came very fresh and quickly. 12 minutes from the time we ordered to be exact. We ordered a Philly Cheese steak sandwich that came with fresh French fries. Also, a open face roast beef with mashed potatoes brown gravy and a side salad with blue cheese. The Philly was flavored perfectly. Just the right amount of diced peppers and onion on the tender moist beef. The bread was nice and crisp on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. My son goes to OU and we wanted to stop somewhere for breakfast. Union Street Diner was a great choice. Basic Breakfast but extremely well done! The wait staff was outstanding and really friendly. Good coffee!

While visiting my brother on campus, we stopped by and had breakfast here and we were very impressed. There was a bit of a wait but that process was handled well with some long range pagers so you just needed to put your name down and stay relatively close to the place and you knew when you were up next. The service and food were both good and the prices weren’t bad at all. Our waitress was professional and checked on us like 5 times during our meal. The portion sizes were really good too. I ordered an omelette and it came with hash downs AND toast. (i thought it was either or but it included both! If you’re in athens, make it a point to get breakfast here!
